We are thrilled to share that Villgro Philippines  has been awarded the prestigious Climate Gender Equity Fund (CGEF) grant. It is an incredible honour to be recognised globally for our work with Women Entrepreneurs. This grant will enable us to deepen our work to address the Gender Finance Gap. Through this program, we will support 15 women entrepreneurs in the Philippines with coaching and investment readiness support to unlock capital to fuel their growth. We will also work with investors through a catalytic blended facility to unlock gender lens investment capital. A huge thank you to USAID and all the funders and partners for this award. We are excited to collaborate with our fellow grantees The Rallying Cry and Altree Capital to share learnings and together address the global gender finance gap.

We are horrified and saddened by the brutal rape and murder of the young trainee female doctor at her workplace in Kolkata. As we pause to celebrate freedoms, this inhumane act is a stark reminder of the dangers that women face in their everyday lives. It is unacceptable that women still have to live in fear of violence, even in spaces where they should feel safe. As women, as a business with a mission to support women, we condemn this act of violence in the strongest terms and stand in solidarity with the victim and all women who have suffered from such unthinkable atrocities. We demand the creation and enforcement of safe spaces for women, where they can work, live, and thrive without the constant threat of violence. It is imperative that we fight for a world where every woman can enjoy those rights fully and without fear. We call on authorities, communities, and individuals to take decisive action to protect women and ensure justice for victims of gender-based violence. - Team Unlock Impact
