Series: Disease management in grapes 🍇 – Powdery mildew, take 2 We talked about powdery mildew and its devastating impact on yields a couple of weeks back along with two powerful options for control. #UPLNZ’s FLUTE and KUSABI, both also essential tools for resistance management. Today is about KUSABI. Another novel chemistry, KUSABI not only halts infection by inhibiting lesion formation, mycelium growth and sporulation, but also works preventatively. There’s no known resistance in NZ to KUSABI. With a WHP of 65 days, KUSABI can be applied closer to harvest for flexible control. One way to maximise your spray programme is to apply FLUTE early mid-season and KUSABI at pre-bunch closure. Our Annual CSR Report 2023-24 is Now Live! At UPL, we have always believed that “Growth cannot be binary; it has to be inclusive.” And for any change to take effect, it must be gradual and truly transformational. We embarked on our journey of giving back to society more than 50 years ago. We examine global problems like food insecurity, unsustainable practices, unclean water, lack of access to education, lack of rural livelihood opportunities, and farmer vulnerability. We constantly endeavour to identify ways to solve these challenges by executing impact programs that will outlive us. Our social impact programs are focussed on the following thematic areas:  - Biodiversity Conservation  - Institutions of Excellence - Sustainable Livelihood  - Inclusive Development and Growth Our efforts have positively impacted more than 1 million lives globally across 10 countries, benefitting 70 communities through more than 80 development programs. It was a pleasure to meet and discuss the future of agriculture with a forward-thinking group of growers from Argentina. From regenerative agriculture to managing risk in a volatile environment, we agreed the future of agriculture is bright and exciting for those willing to embrace the challenge!

On Monday 9th September, our Embassy hosted a roundtable at the Official Residence to discuss the challenges that sustainability and regulations pose to agricultural businesses.     The event was organized by Club AgTech, Numen.Bio, and the Argentine Association of Regional Consortia for Agricultural Experimentation (CREA).   Movimiento CREA was founded in 1960 with the goal of promoting the integral development of agricultural entrepreneurs to achieve economically profitable and sustainable companies over time, testing technology and transferring it to the environment to contribute to the sector and the country. In this occasion, members from the CREA Carnerillo group had the opportunity to exchange ideas with different UK representatives from the agricultural and retail sector. Among them, Felipe Harrison, Founder and COO AgAnalyst Ltd.; Mike Frank, CEO UPL; Jenny Maresh, from Defra's Legal Standards Policy Department; and Celia Cole, Sainsbury's’s Head of Environment.
