In 2024, India's #exports of machinery and components to Germany surged to USD 4.13 billion, a four-fold increase from the previous year. Overall, bilateral trade between #India and #Germany amounts to approximately €30 billion, reflecting robust growth and collaboration between the two nations. At #INDIADAY at #LogiMAT2025, we explored how India’s warehousing and intralogistics sectors are evolving, aligning with the nation’s ambitious journey toward a $10 trillion economy.   The session began with an introduction by Mr. Rajesh Nath, Managing Director, VDMA India, setting the stage for discussions on India's growing role in global logistics, followed by a welcome address by Mr. Bernhard Müller, Vice President, Messe Stuttgart, emphasizing Indo-German collaboration in manufacturing and logistics. How will the latest BIS certification rules #transform the #machinery industry? In August 2024, the Ministry Of Heavy Industries expanded the scope of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), making additional machinery and industrial #products mandatory for #certification. Operating under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, BIS plays a key role in ensuring product #quality, #safety, and #reliability across industries in #India.
