❗📢 Fresh off the press We are excited to announce the scale-up of our flagship Young Women in Economics Program (YWEP)! 🎉 As part of this initiative, we are partnering with 10 India-based universities to implement a three-year intervention for undergraduate colleges and a two-year intervention for postgraduate colleges. We are particularly focused on leveraging the 'role model effect' to bridge information and skill gaps among women in economics, implementing our three-pronged approach: 🌼 Information Sessions   🌼 Peer Network   🌼 Mentorship Program As part of this initiative, we recently partnered with Sri Guru Gobind Singh College Of Commerce (SGGSCC) and conducted a session on "Building a Career in Economics and Public Policy." Last week, we also formalized our partnership by signing an MoU with SGGSCC. A huge thank you to the visionary leadership of Principal Jatinder Bir Singh and the invaluable support of Professor Dr. Rekha Sharma, whose efforts were instrumental in bringing this collaboration to life. We can’t wait to see the positive impact this will have on young women pursuing careers in economics and public policy! 🌟 #YWEP #YoungWomenInEconomics #WomenInEconomics #Economics #PublicPolicy

As we gear up to launch a scaled-up version of our one-of-its kind mentorship and skill-building program for students interested in economics/public policy, we are looking to partner with colleges across India! If you study or work at a college that offers a UG or master's degree in economics/public policy (especially outside of Delhi) reach out to us at womeninpolicyecon@gmail.com The program would involve: - Information sessions on careers in economics and policy (academia, corporate, government, etc.) - Workshops to build skills in CV making, cover letter writing, data analysis softwares, etc. - Support in creating a college-level peer-network to share career opportunities plus access to Women in Economics & Policy resources and support networks - The opportunity for students to be selected for 1:1 mentorship in the final year of study, where they will be matched with a mid-career woman in their sub-field of interest We would love to discuss the possibility of partnering with your department for the program, to further access and equity in the discipline!
