Meet Mr. Gowri Shankar Rao Singupurapu, Senior Manager of Systems Engineering at XDLINX Space Labs. His journey in the space industry began when he joined the first-ever batch of Avionics Engineering at Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), an institute established by ISRO. After graduation, he spent over 11 years at ISRO as a Scientist/Engineer, contributing to several Indian Remote Sensing missions including Cartosat, Resourcesat, RISAT, and GISAT. In 2023, he made the leap to XDLINX Space Labs to contribute to the global accessibility of space technology. An expert in Systems Engineering, Satellite Electrical Design, Data Processing, and Communications, Mr. Gowri Shankar Rao Singupurapu leads the Avionics and Flatsat department, managing a 25-member team. He is deeply involved in XDLINX Space Labs’ upcoming satellite missions, overseeing the Avionics subsystem, flatsat integration, and testing. He is also part of the R&D team developing an in-house X-band SDR capable of 900 Mbps downlink speeds. Meet Vishish Behera, the GNC Lead at XDLINX Space Labs. With over 5 years of experience in the space domain, he brings extensive expertise in Satellite and Constellation Mission Design, Satellite Operations, and Satellite Controls & Dynamics. Vishish has made significant contributions to the field, playing a key role in selecting and integrating the Attitude Dynamics and Control Systems into #Janus1, #Elevation1, and other upcoming satellites - managing the entire process, from orbit design, GNC component selections, simulations to launch and in space-commissioning. An expert in astrodynamics, spacecraft orbit design, station-keeping, and controls, Vishish excels in precision and innovation. He shares, "Working at XDLINX Space Labs is the perfect opportunity for me to pursue my passion for space technology. It’s the field I’ve always wanted to be in since a kid, and getting hands-on experience with satellites and then witnessing their rocket launches makes it even more rewarding. On January 29, 2025, at 6:23 AM IST, ISRO - Indian Space Research Organization successfully launched its 100th rocket mission, marking a significant milestone in India's space exploration journey. The #GSLV-F15 rocket lifted off from the Second Launch Pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre, carrying the NVS-02 satellite—the second in the NavIC series. This historic launch is ISRO’s first mission of 2025 and the inaugural mission under the leadership of its new chairman, Dr. V. Narayanan.
