About
An experienced communication professional with over 20+ years of experience in the field, I worked on a couple of start up ideas in college and did dry runs while pursing my degree in science but parked them for lack of adequate knowledge. But I was hooked on to the heady energy of the entrepreneurship world and with Nucleus have been able to realize that dream.
I started my Public Relations career in Mumbai and have worked with some of the top premier agencies in the country where I spearheaded several national level projects and handled the public relations for various MNCs spread across sectors. After winning numerous accolades from clients and seniors for my work I joined the Publicity Division of Star India Pvt Ltd and worked on five channels before joining hands with Nucleus to head the Public Relations vertical for the firm. I am currently the Managing Partner at the firm.
Along with working out clear communication goals I excel at strategizing and delivering relevant media counsel that form the core of an effective communication strategy. I spearhead and oversee all projects at Nucleus. Often known as a creative strategist and growth enabler by my clients and peers, I thrive on new challenges that help me grow beyond my comfort zone and be more.
Now the first members from the Asian sub-continent of PR Boutiques International (PRBI), an international network of boutique PR firms. Together, we help companies to be successful worldwide.

Entrepreneur
Starting a business is exciting. Even more exciting is public acknowledgment of your business acumen. And nothing says ‘You’ve arrived’ like the lead article with your picture in the leading daily in your city. Sounds exciting, right? It is. That’s called good PR for your company and good PR by your team. But before you jump in and hire a PR agency here are a few things you need to keep in mind

If everything is smooth sailing and there are no villains, what’s the fun?
Your Story
This was one of my first formal interviews with a publication after I started my first PR venture. I remember meeting the curious journalist as he looked at me quizically wondering why he should be interviewing a PR start-up. And he asked me just that. I am thankful to the innate journalistic curiosity of the YS team that gave me a chance to share my story for the first time.

An interview with Yourstory on our start-up story and a healthy debate on why PR businesses/startups also deserve to be featured. A quest that led to #PR4PR and touched a sensitive nerve in the industry that resonated with every founder of a services business – “Isn’t every business a people business? Should services businesses not look to grow and scale? Read more.

Discovering a Life Beyond Burnout

Always being 'busy' is not 'cool' anymore. However, always being on the phone, constantly checking your emails, being perennially worried about the next crisis, not eating—or binge-eating—thanks to the stress: such scenarios will be familiar to anyone who has spent some time working in public relations, considered one of the most stressful professions to work in today. In fact, it is a miracle that some of us manage to survive the stress that comes from balancing several stakeholders at the same time and managing your own mind to prevent it from spiraling into a full-blown panic attack. I am one of those who have survived and thrived. And here’s what I’ve learned about beating burnout.
