https://lnkd.in/g5FW3C9h Article title: Photoremoval of Ibuprophenin and Oxytetracycline and some microorganisms from a pharmaceutical wastewater via Ag-Fe3O4 nanocomposite Author(s): Delia Teresa Sponza*; Rukiye Öztekin Journal: Forefronts of Proteome Science Abstract: In İzmir Turkey, a pharmaceutical industry wastewater produces drugs and antibiotics. The removals of these parameters were not sufficient with the conventional activated sludge process. In order to remove these organics some photocatalysts like Fe3O4 and FeO were solely used with enhanced magnetic properties. However low photodegradation yields (75% - 77%) were detected for the Ibuprophenin drug and Oxytetracycline antibiotic. Although Ag effectively destroys the pharmaceutical chemicals and the pathogenic microorganisms the low photogenerated carrier-separation efficiency limits its application in water treatment. #Ibuprofen #Oxytetracycline #FieldEmissionScanningElectronMicroscope #FESEM #FourierTransformInfraredSpectrophotometer #FTIR #PharmaceuticalWastewater #SilverLoadedMagneticNanoparticles #XRayDiffraction #XRD #AntibodyProteomics #BioinformaticsProteomics #CancerProteomics #ChemicalProteomics #ClinicalProteomics #ComparativeProteomics #DataAnalysis #DiseaseBiomarkerDiscovery #EpigeneticProteomics #Glycoproteomics #ImagingMassSpectrometry #Immunopeptidomics #InteractionProteomics #Lipidomics #MassSpectrometry #MicrobialProteomics #MultiOmicsIntegration #Neuroproteomics #NonModelOrganismProteomics #NuclearProteomics #Pharmacoproteomics #PlantProteomics #PostTranslationalModifications #PrecisionProteomics #ProteinComplexes #ProteinFolding #ProteinInteractions #ProteinLocalization #Proteogenomics #ProteomeInformatics #ProteomeStability #ProteomicsDrugDiscovery #ProteomicsPersonalizedMedicine #ProteomicsTranslationalResearch #ProteomicsAging #ProteomicsAutophagy #ProteomicsLipids #ProteomicsOrganelles #ProteomicsStemCells #QuantitativeProteomics #SystemsBiologyProteomics #CancerProteomics #Neuroproteomics #CardiovascularProteomics #FoodProteomics #EnvironmentalProteomics #ProteomicsMicrobiology #Lipidomics #DataAnalysis #QualityControlProteomics #ProteomicsStandards #IndustrialProteomics #ProteomicsAgriculture #ProteomicsVeterinaryScience #ProteomicsEcology #ProteomicsBiotechnology #ProteomicsRareDiseases #ProteomicsRegenerativeMedicine #ProteomicsStemCellResearch #ProteomicsOrganTransplantation #ProteomicsForensicScience #ProteomicsAI #Kinomics #Lipidomics #Metabolomics #Nanoproteomics #Neuroproteomics #ProteinBiochemistry #PublicHealth #Peertechz #PeertechzPublications #OpenAccess #ScientificJournals #PeerReviewedJournals #OpenAccessPublishers #ProteinFolding #ProteinFunction #Proteogenomics #ProteomicsTechniques #SystemsBiology #TumorProteomics #Ubiquitinomics #Bioinformatics #MachineLearning #Biostatistics #ClinicalDataAnalysis #MolecularBiology #StructuralBiology #GenomeAnalysis #ProteinEngineering #ProteinFunction #GeneExpression #Pharmacogenomics

This work focuses on synthesizing ɑ-Fe2O3 and doping it with Ruthenium (Ru) to study its gas-sensing properties over flammable and hazardous gases. An anomalous behavior was observed during the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). This Ru-doped ɑ-Fe2O3 showed a charge carrier switching transition from n- to p-type conductivity due to Ru doping and the sensor’s operating temperature. #GasSensing #ChargeCarrierTransition #DopantConcentration #AlphaIronOxideBasedSensor #Sensitivity #AntibodyProteomics #BioinformaticsProteomics #CancerProteomics #ChemicalProteomics #ClinicalProteomics #ComparativeProteomics #DataAnalysis #DiseaseBiomarkerDiscovery #EpigeneticProteomics #Glycoproteomics #ImagingMassSpectrometry #Immunopeptidomics #InteractionProteomics #Lipidomics #MassSpectrometry #MetabolomicsProteomicsIntegration #MicrobialProteomics #MultiOmicsIntegration #NativeMassSpectrometry #Neuroproteomics #NonModelOrganismProteomics #NuclearProteomics #OmicsDataIntegration #OrganelleProteomics #PathogenProteomics #Pharmacoproteomics #PlantProteomics #PostTranslationalModifications #PrecisionProteomics #ProteinComplexes #ProteinExpressionProfiling #ProteinFolding #ProteinInteractions #ProteinLocalization #Proteogenomics #ProteomeInformatics #ProteomeStability #ProteomicsDrugDiscovery #ProteomicsPersonalizedMedicine #ProteomicsTranslationalResearch #ProteomicsAging #ProteomicsAutophagy #ProteomicsLipids #ProteomicsOrganelles #ProteomicsStemCells #QuantitativeProteomics #SystemsBiologyProteomics #CancerProteomics #Neuroproteomics #CardiovascularProteomics #FoodProteomics #EnvironmentalProteomics #ProteomicsMicrobiology #Lipidomics #DataAnalysis #QualityControlProteomics #ProteomicsStandards #IndustrialProteomics #ProteomicsAgriculture #ProteomicsVeterinaryScience #ProteomicsEcology #ProteomicsBiotechnology #ProteomicsRareDiseases #ProteomicsRegenerativeMedicine #ProteomicsStemCellResearch #ProteomicsOrganTransplantation #ProteomicsForensicScience #ProteomicsAI #Kinomics #Lipidomics #Metabolomics #Nanoproteomics #Neuroproteomics #ProteinBiochemistry #PublicHealth #Peertechz #PeertechzPublications #OpenAccess #ScientificJournals #PeerReviewedJournals #OpenAccessPublishers #ProteinFolding #ProteinFunction #Proteogenomics #ProteomicsTechniques #SystemsBiology #TumorProteomics #Ubiquitinomics #Bioinformatics #MachineLearning #Biostatistics #ClinicalDataAnalysis #MolecularBiology #StructuralBiology #GenomeAnalysis #ProteinEngineering #ProteinFunction #GeneExpression #Pharmacogenomics

https://lnkd.in/g9H5fq7m Article title: Cost-effectiveness analysis of breast cancer screening by mammography in average-risk women in China Author(s): Xudong Chen* Journal: Advances in Women's Health Abstract: Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer among women worldwide and is often at an advanced stage when clinical diagnosis. Fortunately, mammography could increase the detection rate of early-stage breast cancer. In this study, we conducted a cost-effectiveness analysis of breast cancer screening compared with no screening for average-risk women aged 45-69 every two years in China. Parameters about screening, costs, and utilities were taken from previous studies. Compared with no screening, mammography screening cost $1566.12 more with a reduction of 0.0088 Quality-Adjusted Life Years (QALYs), which was absolutely dominated. In summary, breast cancer screening by mammography was more recommended to high-risk women rather than average-risk women in China. #BreastCancer #Mammography #Screening #AverageRiskWomen #CostEffectivenessAnalysis #China #AdolescentHealth #CervicalCancer #Contraception #DomesticViolence #Endometriosis #FemaleGenitalMutilation #GestationalDiabetes #HIVAIDS #HormoneReplacementTherapy #Incontinence #IntimatePartnerViolence #LaborAndDelivery #LesbianHealth #Menopause #MenstrualDisorders #MetabolicSyndrome #Obesity #Osteoporosis #PapSmear #PelvicInflammatoryDisease #PolycysticOvarySyndrome #PostpartumDepression #PreEclampsia #PregnancyComplications #PremenstrualSyndrome #PreventiveHealthcare #PsychosocialHealth #ReproductiveHealth #SexualIdentity #SexualDysfunction #SexuallyTransmittedInfections #SubstanceAbuse #UrinaryTractInfections #UterineCancer #VaginalHealth #ViolenceAgainstWomen #WomensHealthPolicy #Breastfeeding #Menopause #PrenatalCare #Reproductive #FertilityPreservation #Urogynecology #GynecologicOncology #MinimallyInvasiveSurgery #PregnancyComplications #GenderIdentity #GlobalHealth #WorkplaceHealth #WomensHealthEducation #HealthLiteracy #CardiovascularHealth #Autoimmune #Nutrition #Sleep #Exercise #Cancer #Genetics #PrecisionMedicine #ClinicalTrials #ArtificialIntelligence #MachineLearning #DigitalHealth #DiseasePrevention #HealthPromotion #PublicHealth #HealthServices #Healthcare #Contraception #Endometriosis #FemaleSexualDysfunction #HormoneTherapy #Infertility #MenstrualDisorders #WomensHealth #PCOS #MentalHealthInPregnancy #Breastfeeding #Fertility #MaternalFetalMedicine #PregnancyComplications #GlobalHealth #HealthPolicy #MaternalMortality #CardiovascularHealth #AutoimmuneDisorders #Nutrition #Cancer #Genetics #ClinicalTrials #ArtificialIntelligence #MachineLearning #PublicHealth #Peertechz #PeertechzPublications #OpenAccess #ScientificJournals #PeerReviewedJournals #OpenAccessPublishers #Contraception #Endometriosis #FemaleSexualDysfunction #HormoneTherapy #MenstrualDisorders #PCOS #PerinatalCare #Urogynecology #PregnancyComplications

https://lnkd.in/gJzcie_q Article title: Treatment of chronic instability of the patella by ligamentoplasty of the medial patellofemoral ligament Author(s): MJEL Mekkaoui; HEl Ouagari*; M Boufettal; RA Bassir; M Kharmaz; MO Lamrani; MS Berrada Journal: Journal of Surgery and Surgical Research Journal ISSN: 2455-2968 Abstract: Objective and potential Patellofemoral Instability (PFI) is linked to different anatomical anomalies. It has been suggested that in the majority of cases of patellar dislocation, the Medial Patellofemoral Ligament (MPFL) is ruptured with a high recurrence rate, particularly in female patients. Although MPFL tear is not the primary cause of instability, MPFL reconstruction is effective in stabilizing the knee and can single-handedly prevent lateral patellar dislocation. There is limited but growing evidence that MPFL reconstruction for patellofemoral instability leads to excellent functional outcomes. #Instability #Dislocation #Patella #Ligamentoplasty #GeneralSurgery #Anesthesia #EndocrineSurgery #OncologicSurgery #TraumaSurgery #GastrointestinalSurgery #VascularSurgery #EndovascularSurgery #TransplantationSurgery #PediatricSurgery #Neurosurgery #CosmeticSurgery #MaxillofacialSurgery #OralSurgery #DentalSurgery #OphthalmicSurgery #UrologicSurgery #ColonSurgery #RectalSurgery #HandSurgery #FootAndAnkleSurgery #OrthopedicSurgery #LaserSurgery #Peertechz #PeertechzPublications #OpenAccess #ScientificJournals #PeerReviewedJournals #OpenAccessPublishers #ReconstructiveSurgery #PlasticSurgery #CardiacSurgery #GynecologicalSurgery #Microsurgery #ThoracicSurgery #ComputerAssistedSurgery #CAS #RoboticSurgery #InvasiveSurgery #NonInvasiveSurgery #SurgicalProcedures #SurgicalInstruments #HeadAndNeckSurgery #BreastSurgery #ColorectalSurgery #DermatologicSurgery #HepatobiliarySurgery #PancreaticSurgery #SurgicalOncology #BoneSurgery #BurnSurgery #CerebralSurgery #CardiovascularSurgery #ExperimentalSurgery #BariatricSurgery #EpilepsySurgery #AbdominalSurgery

A review Author(s): Grigorios Lyronis*; Eleni Efremidou; Maria-Eleni Zachou; Antigoni Kaprana; Michael Koukourakis; Pelagia Chloropoulou Journal: Journal of Surgery and Surgical Research Journal ISSN: 2455-2968 Abstract: Introduction: Breast cancer is one of the most common malignancies, treated with primary surgery, or surgery after neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Many studies indicate that the peri-operative period is critical as interference with the immune system may affect prognosis. Whether certain anesthetic agents can affect the immune response and cancer progression is still unresolved. #Cancer #Anesthesia #Immunity #BreastCancer #GeneralSurgery #Anesthesia #EndocrineSurgery #OncologicSurgery #TraumaSurgery #GastrointestinalSurgery #VascularSurgery #EndovascularSurgery #TransplantationSurgery #PediatricSurgery #Neurosurgery #CosmeticSurgery #MaxillofacialSurgery #OralSurgery #DentalSurgery #OphthalmicSurgery #UrologicSurgery #ColonSurgery #RectalSurgery #HandSurgery #FootAndAnkleSurgery #OrthopedicSurgery #LaserSurgery #Peertechz #PeertechzPublications #OpenAccess #ScientificJournals #PeerReviewedJournals #OpenAccessPublishers #ReconstructiveSurgery #PlasticSurgery #CardiacSurgery #GynecologicalSurgery #Microsurgery #ThoracicSurgery #ComputerAssistedSurgery #CAS #RoboticSurgery #InvasiveSurgery #NonInvasiveSurgery #SurgicalProcedures #SurgicalInstruments #HeadAndNeckSurgery #BreastSurgery #ColorectalSurgery #DermatologicSurgery #HepatobiliarySurgery #PancreaticSurgery #SurgicalOncology #BoneSurgery #BurnSurgery #CerebralSurgery #CardiovascularSurgery #ExperimentalSurgery #BariatricSurgery #EpilepsySurgery #AbdominalSurgery

https://lnkd.in/gDEY_w36 Article title: Chronic hypertension in infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm repair surgery. Multivariate analysis Author(s): Alberto Martínez Ruiz*; Sergio Bergese; Blanca Anuncia Escontrela Rodríquez; María Jesús Maroño Boedo; Ane Guereca Gala; Marco Echeverria-Villalobos Journal: Journal of Surgery and Surgical Research Journal ISSN: 2455-2968 Abstract: Background and objectives: Chronic hypertension has a higher incidence in the perioperative setting. It increases the risk of complications like acute hypertension, bleeding, myocardial ischemia, and stroke. Perioperative management of these patients during vascular surgery could be challenging because of the additional co-morbidities like diabetes mellitus, vasculopathy, and cardiac disease. For these reasons, we conducted a retrospective study to observe the complications and mortality associated with chronic hypertension during vascular surgery. #GeneralSurgery #Anesthesia #EndocrineSurgery #OncologicSurgery #TraumaSurgery #GastrointestinalSurgery #VascularSurgery #EndovascularSurgery #TransplantationSurgery #PediatricSurgery #Neurosurgery #CosmeticSurgery #MaxillofacialSurgery #OralSurgery #DentalSurgery #OphthalmicSurgery #UrologicSurgery #ColonSurgery #RectalSurgery #HandSurgery #FootAndAnkleSurgery #OrthopedicSurgery #LaserSurgery #Peertechz #PeertechzPublications #OpenAccess #ScientificJournals #PeerReviewedJournals #OpenAccessPublishers #ReconstructiveSurgery #PlasticSurgery #CardiacSurgery #GynecologicalSurgery #Microsurgery #ThoracicSurgery #ComputerAssistedSurgery #CAS #RoboticSurgery #InvasiveSurgery #NonInvasiveSurgery #SurgicalProcedures #SurgicalInstruments #HeadAndNeckSurgery #BreastSurgery #ColorectalSurgery #DermatologicSurgery #HepatobiliarySurgery #PancreaticSurgery #SurgicalOncology #BoneSurgery #BurnSurgery #CerebralSurgery #CardiovascularSurgery #ExperimentalSurgery #BariatricSurgery #EpilepsySurgery #AbdominalSurgery

https://lnkd.in/gWhAAzSn Article title: Preoperative predictors of morbidity in patients with perforation peritonitis: Can early identification prevent mortality? Author(s): AR Bansal*; PS Ahluwahlia; Joy Bansal; Ankit Kamboj; Harsha Kamalhans Journal: Journal of Surgery and Surgical Research Journal ISSN: 2455-2968 Abstract: Introduction: Perforation peritonitis is one of the most frequently encountered surgical emergencies in tropical countries like India and mostly affects young men in their prime of life. In the majority of the cases, presentation to the hospital is late with generalized peritonitis and varying degrees of septicemia. It is therefore necessary to recognize patients at risk preoperatively and prepare for an aggressive management strategy. The present study was thus planned to assess the clinical factors that could predict morbidity and mortality preoperatively in people with perforated peritonitis. #PerforationPeritonitis #MorbidityAndMortality #GeneralSurgery #Anesthesia #EndocrineSurgery #OncologicSurgery #TraumaSurgery #GastrointestinalSurgery #VascularSurgery #EndovascularSurgery #TransplantationSurgery #PediatricSurgery #Neurosurgery #CosmeticSurgery #MaxillofacialSurgery #OralSurgery #DentalSurgery #OphthalmicSurgery #UrologicSurgery #ColonSurgery #RectalSurgery #HandSurgery #FootAndAnkleSurgery #OrthopedicSurgery #LaserSurgery #Peertechz #PeertechzPublications #OpenAccess #ScientificJournals #PeerReviewedJournals #OpenAccessPublishers #ReconstructiveSurgery #PlasticSurgery #CardiacSurgery #GynecologicalSurgery #Microsurgery #ThoracicSurgery #ComputerAssistedSurgery #CAS #RoboticSurgery #InvasiveSurgery #NonInvasiveSurgery #SurgicalProcedures #SurgicalInstruments #HeadAndNeckSurgery #BreastSurgery #ColorectalSurgery #DermatologicSurgery #HepatobiliarySurgery #PancreaticSurgery #SurgicalOncology #BoneSurgery #BurnSurgery #CerebralSurgery #CardiovascularSurgery #ExperimentalSurgery #BariatricSurgery #EpilepsySurgery #AbdominalSurgery

https://lnkd.in/gj3zQnfG Article title: Surgical management of an elderly patient with strangulated inguinal hernia and cryptorchidism: A case report Author(s): Med Dheker Touati*; Mohamed Raouf Ben Othmane; Firas Jaouad; Fahd Khefacha; Anis Belhadj; Ahmed Saidani; Faouzi Chebbi Journal: Journal of Surgery and Surgical Research Journal ISSN: 2455-2968 Abstract: Cryptorchidism, the condition of undescended testicles, and inguinal hernia share a common embryological origin, often presenting together. This case report describes the surgical intervention for a 73-year-old diabetic male with a 20-year history of left inguinal hernia and a single right testicle. The patient presented to the emergency department due to obstructed inguinal hernia, reporting pain, bowel obstruction, abdominal distension, and vomiting. Physical examination revealed a left inguinal hernia measuring 10 cm, which was incarcerated, non-expansile, and irreducible. Intraoperative exploration unveiled a strangulated oblique external left inguinal hernia with a 10 cm sac and a narrow neck containing an ischemic, yet non-necrotic, small bowel. #Cryptorchidism #InguinalHernia #ElderlyPatient #Strangulation #Orchidectomy #GeneralSurgery #Anesthesia #EndocrineSurgery #OncologicSurgery #TraumaSurgery #GastrointestinalSurgery #VascularSurgery #EndovascularSurgery #TransplantationSurgery #PediatricSurgery #Neurosurgery #CosmeticSurgery #MaxillofacialSurgery #OralSurgery #DentalSurgery #OphthalmicSurgery #UrologicSurgery #ColonSurgery #RectalSurgery #HandSurgery #FootAndAnkleSurgery #OrthopedicSurgery #LaserSurgery #Peertechz #PeertechzPublications #OpenAccess #ScientificJournals #PeerReviewedJournals #OpenAccessPublishers #ReconstructiveSurgery #PlasticSurgery #CardiacSurgery #GynecologicalSurgery #Microsurgery #ThoracicSurgery #ComputerAssistedSurgery #CAS #RoboticSurgery #InvasiveSurgery #NonInvasiveSurgery #SurgicalProcedures #SurgicalInstruments #HeadAndNeckSurgery #BreastSurgery #ColorectalSurgery #DermatologicSurgery #HepatobiliarySurgery #PancreaticSurgery #SurgicalOncology #BoneSurgery #BurnSurgery #CerebralSurgery #CardiovascularSurgery #ExperimentalSurgery #BariatricSurgery #EpilepsySurgery #AbdominalSurgery
