Two and a half years ago, we began our journey addressing the #COVID19 crisis. Through collaborative effort and action, we've been able to support vulnerable communities across India #BounceForward. Since its inception, #COVIDActionCollab has held vulnerable communities at the centre and collaboration as a backbone. Laxmi, a Community Health Worker from Odisha, is leading her community in adapting to climate-related health challenges. From teaching fishermen how to prevent heatstroke by carrying ORS water to encouraging women to protect themselves from the sun with simple, effective measures, Laxmi is driving positive change. Her work is part of Swasti ClimateCare Champions Programme implemented by Gopabandhu Seva Parisad, which equips frontline health workers with the knowledge and tools to address climate-related health issues. 🌍 International Day of Climate Action: A Call for Collective Action 🌍 Climate change impacts us all, but the most vulnerable—farmers, fisherfolk, the urban poor, transgender individuals, and women in sex work—face the greatest risks.
