Biofuels may seem like a green alternative but producing just 1 liter of ethanol can require over 24,000 liters of water due to intensive crop demands. In a water-scarce country like India, assessing the water intensity of different energy sources is essential for sustainable planning.   Our latest report delves into this critical issue, offering insights and recommendations on managing the water impact in energy production.   Read the full report for our recommendations on managing this water impact and building a sustainable energy future: https://lnkd.in/gEX74RfG.   #WaterUsage #EnergySector #FTIConsultingIndia

FTI Consulting and Compass Lexecon prepared an economist report analysing the likely competition impact of Data Infrastructure Trust’s (DIT) proposed acquisition of ATC Telecom Infrastructure Private Limited (ATC India). DIT (an affiliate of Brookfield Asset Management) and ATC India both provide passive telecom infrastructure services in India. Our competition assessment covered the delineation of the relevant market, as well as the analysis of market shares, concentration, and potential unilateral and coordinated effects. Our team worked closely with S&R Associates and Axiom5 Law Chambers LLP on the project. The Competition Commission Of India (CCI) approved the acquisition on 6 August 2024. Recently, we teamed up with SankalpTaru Foundation for an engaging seedball-making workshop in our Mumbai and New Delhi offices. It was a fantastic opportunity for our team to learn about the importance of afforestation and biodiversity while getting our hands dirty! Together, we created a variety of seedballs using neem, lime, tamarind, guava, drumstick, and many other seeds. These seedballs will be used in SankalpTaru's Urban Afforestation programs in Pune (Mumbai area), Noida (Delhi area), and Delhi, promoting greener spaces and supporting our commitment to environmental sustainability.   A big thank you to SankalpTaru for leading this initiative and inspiring us all!    #Sustainability #Teamwork #GreenerFuture

Please meet Harin Joshi, who has been interning with our Risk Advisory and Investigations practice in Mumbai. We reached out to him to learn about his experience with us so far and more. Here are his responses:   1️⃣ Why did you choose to intern at FTI Consulting? I chose FTI Consulting because they aspire to be the best consultancy globally. A boutique name with a pedigree dating back to the Reagan era, FTI is the best in the game to nurture and develop experts who create impact.     2️⃣ What has been your favourite part about interning at FTI Consulting? The coaches provide us leeway to make mistakes and learn from them. It is important to jump into a well-oiled machine as a newcomer, but I was lucky enough to have a supportive and collaborative environment to have the engagement required when learning.   3️⃣ How has interning at FTI Consulting shaped your career goals or aspirations?  I joined FTI Consulting after my post-graduate studies at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School. I was eager to experience the niche nature of services offered by FTI. During my time here, I am shaping my career aspirations in consulting, hoping to contribute to this cohort in more ways than one.   4️⃣ What is something most people don’t know about you? The pronunciation of my name. 'Ha-rin', two syllables’.     5️⃣ What is something on your “bucket list”? To own a building with my name on it.   #Internspotlight #TeamFTI
