Tesla's recently refreshed Model 3, codenamed 'Highland,' is now available in the U.S.

The new variant first became available in Europe and China in September 2023, bringing a number of important changes both to the exterior and the interior of the vehicle.

Now, just like in Europe, U.S. buyers can only get the new version, with the old one nowhere to be seen. Pricing starts at $38,990 for the Rear-Wheel Drive variant, and $45,990 for the dual-motor, all-wheel drive, Long Range variant. The Performance version is not available; there are rumors that Tesla is working on it, but so far we've seen no trace of it in any market where Tesla is present.

We've written an overview of what's changed, but here's a quick rundown. The new Model 3 gets a bit more range than the old one. The exterior design has changed, with new headlights and taillights. Buyers can now choose between the 18-inch Photon wheels, with new, black hubcaps, and the 19-inch Nova wheels, which add $1,500 to the price. The default color is now Stealth Grey, and you can pay an additional $2,000 for the new, Ultra Red color.

Inside, the biggest changes include ambient LED lighting, a slightly larger center touchscreen, and a new, 8-inch rear display.

Other improvements include a quieter cabin, improved audio, ventilated front seats, and more premium materials all around.

Estimated delivery times for all variants are January to February 2024, according to Tesla's website.
