H.L. We listened to PRR quite often in the first phase of their career and I thought it was a shame that the band split up. Only recently I discovered that PRR was back, I had already missed two albums and I filled in the gaps. Their progressive but also catchy rock/pop with the harmonious vocals is simply unmistakable and wonderfully dynamic. "Coming up to Consciousness" is the strongest revival phase album. It is more catchy, more to the point and has a great melancholic atmosphere. Beautiful! Favorite track: The Gallows.

album a liitle bit more melodic, more
melancholie , and sadness.

AND THE VOICE OF ANNICKE Favorite track: Bend the Earth.

kaladin405 This is the best PRR album since The Dark Third. Shorter songs, more pointed, tight melodies, great hooks. Outstanding. And while I love Ms. Alper, I think I prefer Guy Pratt's bass and Annicke Shireen's vox :) Favorite track: Betrayal.

about

24-bit / 48K HD audio. Includes 18-page digital booklet

"Coming Up To Consciousness" is Pure Reason Revolution’s sixth studio album, and the third of its post-hiatus renaissance that began with 2020's "Eupnea" and continued in 2022's "Above Cirrus". Like those two predecessors, the new record is intensely personal. While the band's distinctive style remains, melding prog and pop through dreamy moods, epic riffs and angelic harmonies, Courtney and Greg Jong also tried to go somewhere a bit different, drawing on influences like Talk Talk, Elliot Smith, The Smile and even Arctic Monkeys in addition to perennial favourites - especially Pink Floyd
