Yesterday, the first phase of the kindergarten project in Sinjar concluded with a special celebration filled with joy and achievement! Progress in Peace Organization is honored to announce the success of this project, which was implemented in partnership with Gazi Organization and Naseem Sinjar Organization, with generous support from the International Organization for Migration (IOM). Over the course of three months, various educational and recreational activities were organized, contributing to a rich experience for the children, aimed not only at learning but also at enhancing social interaction and positive engagement among the children in Sinjar. We are proud of all the efforts that contributed to the success of this phase, from the working teams to the families who supported their children throughout this journey. We also look forward to more future projects that contribute to supporting education and building a better future for the children of the region. Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated and contributed to this success, and we hope these strong partnerships continue to support the community and help build a brighter future!

We are happy to share this incredible initiative undertaken by the our team as PIP in the Solagh area, one of the popular tourist spots in Sinjar. Recognizing the need for a cleaner environment, we couldn’t ignore the videos and photos showing neglect and litter in this cherished place. In response, we mobilized our dedicated volunteers and organized a cleaning campaign to restore the area’s natural beauty. Together, we managed to clean several visible spots, making the area more welcoming for visitors. This campaign reflects our ongoing efforts to promote environmental care and community engagement. Many thanks to our volunteers for their hard work and dedication. Together, we are making Sinjar a better place for everyone!

We have started our computer basics training, diving into hands-on sessions to cover the fundamentals. Recognizing the crucial need for essential skills among Sinjar’s youth, especially after the ISIS genocide, we firmly believe these training sessions play a vital role in empowering our community with technical skills and beyond.

Training session on Creating CVs, Resumes, and Cover Letters We as Progress in Peace organization had opportunity to give a training session, at our office in Sinjar, on creating CVs, resumes, and cover letters. During the training session, participants learned the importance of tailoring their CVs, resumes, and cover letters to specific job positions, highlighting relevant skills and experiences. Additionally, participants learned how to showcase their achievements and abilities in a concise and compelling manner, maximizing their chances of securing job interviews. Lastly, participants received guidance on proofreading and editing their documents to ensure clarity, professionalism, and attention to detail. As for our organization, we will have some more training courses, so Stay Tuned….!

Moreover, we delved into the transformative power of advocacy and its significance in addressing the unique challenges faced by communities like Sinjar. Overall, the training aimed to equip participants with practical tools and insights to effect positive change within their communities, fostering social cohesion and promoting peace-building efforts.
