Established in 2004, Women Empowerment Organization (WEO) is a women-led, national non-governmental organization registered in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq devoted to empowering women socially, economically, and politically. At WEO, we work diligently to enhance women's influence, combat all forms of violence against them, and advocate for policy development and reform that supports equality between women and men. WEO is dedicated to delivering its services in the sectors of Protection, Livelihoods, Advocacy, and Humanitarian by offering a comprehensive range of services, including socio-economic and psychological support, access to finance, individual and institutional capacity development, legal assistance, and advocacy for inclusive approach and meaningful fulfillment of sustainable peace and security.

    Women Empowerment Organization (WEO) and CARE Iraq seek a Media, Visibility & External Relations Trainer for the "Strengthening Women’s Rights Movements on the Women, Peace, and Security" project. Funded by BMZ, the project supports women’s rights organizations in Salah Ad Din governorate. The trainer will conduct a 3-day training in Tikrit in October to improve media and communication skills. Scope of Work: The selected trainer will be responsible for: · Designing a comprehensive training program tailored to the specific needs of women rights organizations. · Developing training materials, including manuals, presentations, and handouts. · Conducting interactive and engaging training sessions for representatives of the five women rights organizations. · Utilizing a variety of training methods, including role-playing, case studies, and group discussions. · Equipping participants with practical skills in media relations, public speaking, and effective communication strategies. · Providing hands-on training on creating compelling content for various media platforms, including social media, websites, and traditional media. · Teaching participants how to develop and implement visibility strategies to raise awareness about their organizations and women's rights issues. · Offering guidance on building and maintaining relationships with media outlets and external stakeholders. · Assessing the progress and effectiveness of the training through pre- and post-training evaluations. · Providing constructive feedback and recommendations for further improvement. Training Report Requirement: · An overview of the training session conducted. · Highlights of participants' engagement and progress throughout the training. · Any adaptations made to the training content based on participants' needs. · Feedback received from participants regarding the training's effectiveness and relevance. · Recommendations for ongoing support and follow-up activities to ensure the application of learning. · Results of the pre-post tests including charts and grafts showing the progress in learning. Qualifications: The ideal candidate should possess: · A degree in Communications, Media Studies, Public Relations, or a related field. · Proven experience in media relations, visibility strategies, and external communications. · Demonstrated experience in conducting training sessions in the field of women's rights or non-profit organizations. · Strong understanding of the media in Iraq, particularly in Tikrit and Salah Al Din. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Fluency in Arabic and English Languages.     Call for Applications: Consultant for Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Training Workshops Background: Women Empowerment Organization (WEO) is seeking a qualified consultant to facilitate a series of training workshops on Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) in Erbil and Sulaymaniyah governorates for (Protection and Support for Social Inclusion of Violence Against Women and Girls Survivors in Kurdistan) Project. These workshops aim to enhance the technical capacities of participants from Civil Society Organizations in case management, psychosocial support, legal frameworks, safe identification and referral practices, and networking/fundraising.
