From weaving to printing, right up to the manufacture of finished products, the supply chain is strictly Made in Italy, the guarantee of uncompromising quality. Founded in 1933, Achille Pinto is a S.p.A. with headquarters in Casnate con Bernate, in the Como silk district: a great Italian reality, which celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2023 by reinventing itself over the years, thanks to constant investments aimed at improving quality and manufacturing expertise, with positive repercussions on the wellbeing of the people and the territory. The company is particularly sensitive to sustainability issues and promotes a series of initiatives that actively contribute to reducing the industry's environmental impact and preserving the environment for future generations.

  • Pinto Archive is where the extraordinary happens: pieces of the past are transformed into new ideas and new forms. The possibilities for new creative forms are constantly evolving, thanks to ongoing acquisitions, such as the recent addition of the Giuseppe Menta collection, a leading figure in the textile industry, which enriches our Archives with new inspirations. A commitment to heritage, combined with a constant desire for innovation, has driven the company to digitize the Archives: our digital table is an innovative tool making possible to explore digitized prints and test them on a specific garment to visualize their performance. This is an extraordinary resource that improves the efficiency of our customers' research.

  • Achille Pinto is a forerunner of the focus on sustainability that is topical today. Industriousness has been the driving force of this approach, quickly developing practical and green responses to the company’s needs. The first substantial investments in the protection of the ecosystem arrived in the 1990s: Achille Pinto’s journey towards a green economy started early and continues today with ever-increasing commitment. Managing all production steps and implementing a vertical production process allows us to maintain greater control over the sustainability of raw materials and processes, including the disposal of environmentally harmful substances, ultimately resulting in a finished product that aligns with our objectives. We constantly invest in latest-generation machinery and technologies and in the development of know-how to create products that stand out. Innovation concerns the different printing processes but also the finishing techniques and weaving, which combines the silk weaving, typically from Como, with the traditional wool weaving of the Biella area. While the development of skills concerns our resources, the Pinto people, one of our most precious assets.

    Since 2017, Achille Pinto has been pursuing the implementation of the CHEM 4sustainability protocol, reaching the highest level of excellence by 2022. In the same year, the path to managing traceability upstream of the supply chain began with The ID Factory. In both cases, these are structured partnerships aimed at efficiently responding to market challenges and the acceleration of the legislator. “Although sustainability has driven Achille Pinto actions for several decades, attention to this matter has acquired an unprecedented centrality in recent years. This is certainly the result of a general increase in collective sensitivity to logics of which fashion brands - our customers - have often been spokespersons. One of the objectives that I care about most is to actively influence changes in the textile sector, trying to always be proactive, innovative and at the same time sustainable.
