🚀 Celebrating a landmark event for U.S. tourism! This October, for Brand USA, we contributed to the Travel Week U.K. & Europe 2024 at London’s historic County Hall. This premier gathering brought together travel industry leaders, buyers, and media to shape the future of travel to the United States. ✨ With 183 British and European buyers and over 179 U.S. exhibitors, #TravelWeek2024 achieved record-breaking attendance, with a 26% increase in exhibitors compared to last year. This year also marked the first Travel Week with @Fred Dixon as Brand USA’s President & CEO, following his appointment earlier this year. His words captured the spirit of the event: “The U.K. and European markets are critical to driving travel to the U.S. In 2025, nearly 17 million travellers—a record from the region—are projected to visit the United States, the USA remains the top long-haul destination on European travellers’ bucket lists for the next 12 months” Brand USA also hosted 90 media representatives for 1,300 one-to-one meetings at our Media Forum and 72 industry leaders at the CEO Summit, both platforms drive new conversations around the future of U.S. travel. Our PR team just got back from a media trip to Lisbon, organised in collaboration with Visit Lisboa. The journey highlighted Lisbon’s iconic sites, from the stunning Praça do Comércio to the historic Belém district, as well as modern gems like urban art spots and the Mouraria neighborhood, famous for its tribute to fado singers. A special moment was the journalists' exclusive attendance at the opening of the exhibition PARA QUE SERVEM AS COISAS? at #MUDE—a retrospective journey through 120 years of design history. This event marked the museum’s grand reopening after more than eight years of restoration. The group experienced the timeless flavors of Portuguese cuisine, with a few contemporary twists, capturing the authentic spirit of #Lisbon. Last week, the "King of the Waltz" and “The Queen of Music” were spotted in Milano at an event organised by Vienna Tourist Board to present Vienna and its forever star, Johann Strauss II. Oman's tourism continues to thrive Confirming the importance of the Italian market, the third largest in Europe with 45,132 arrivals in 2024, the Sultanate of Oman was at the centre of an exciting two-week series of events that put the destination in the spotlight. Here are the key highlights: 🤝 Oman took center stage at the TTG Travel Experience - ITALIAN EXHIBITION GROUP, with a strong group of exhibitors and a busy schedule of key meetings in Milan, Florence and Rome with top Italian tour operators and trade partners. 📰 A special media event on October 15 brought together 22 journalists to showcase Oman's strategic tourism investments, focusing on the opening of three new airports and luxury hotels, the launch of a new Oman Air flight from Rome to Muscat, and the expansion of outdoor, eco-tourism and cultural experiences. 📢 On the consumer side, a major OOH campaign is live in Rome and Milan in partnership with Alpitour World, supported by a digital and national radio campaign.
