🌍 Airizon’s Reflections on #COP29: a missed opportunity.     COP29 in Baku, which concluded on November 22nd, left experts and activists discouraged. The world is now aware that we won’t be able to comply with the #ParisAgreement on #ClimateChange anymore; time has run out to prevent global warming from reaching an irreversible breaking point, and our efforts must now focus on mitigating its unavoidable consequences.    According to the #CopernicusClimateChangeService (#C3S), the year 2024 is virtually certain to be the warmest year on record and the first where global temperatures exceed 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. This threshold is more than just a number: it’s a line that, once crossed, intensifies extreme weather events, rising sea levels, and biodiversity loss while particularly affecting the world’s most vulnerable populations.      While COP29 just addressed #SustainableAviation, it is crucial for our sector to intensify efforts to reduce the environmental impact: decarbonizing aviation is a daunting yet unavoidable challenge, demanding innovation in sustainable fuels, electrification, and improved operational efficiency.     At #Airizon, we are engineers, innovators and, above all, people with a responsibility to our planet. We are committed to leading efforts to reduce our impact and to advancing sustainable solutions for a greener future.     📷 In the photo, the memorial for Iceland’s first “dead ice”, Okjökull, featuring a plaque inscribed in both English and Icelandic: "This monument is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it." These words, written in 2019 by Icelandic author and poet Andri Snaer Magnason, highlight the melting of the “Ok glacier” as defeat and serve as a wake-up call for all of us to act against climate change. 

🌱 Airizon at #InnovationVillage 2024: a recap.    This year, Airizon was honored to be among the 24 finalists of the Innovation Village Award, an event dedicated to advancing the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals through groundbreaking projects in #technology and #sustainability. With its growing relevance, the competition involved 192 projects from all over Italy, selecting 24 finalists from 9 regions.    While we didn’t take home the top prize, we were thrilled to pitch our project to an audience of industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators. Ilaria Patrociello (CSO) shared our vision for the future of #SustainableAviation.     Airizon deeply values events where collaboration and innovation fuel progress by reminding us that the path to innovation is built together; each new shared idea brings us closer to solutions that can make a difference.   Thank you Knowledge for Business Srl for organizing such a truly inspiring event in collaboration with ASviS and ENEA and with the sponsorship of Regione Campania and Comune di Napoli.    Congratulations to all the participants! 🌍 Airizon at #WebSummit 2024: a quick recap and our insights.      This year, Airizon proudly attended the world-renowned Web Summit in Lisbon, an event celebrated as "the world’s premier tech conference." This global gathering brought together industry leaders, startups, venture capitalists, and innovators to explore transformative technologies and their future impact on industries worldwide.       Our representatives, 💻 Antonino Rossi (CTO) and Vittorio Memmolo (COO) had the incredible opportunity to network and share insights and ideas. Key highlights from us include:      1️⃣ The international audience created an inspiring environment for meaningful collaboration and networking, values we deeply cherish at Airizon. We believe that nowadays building relationships and sharing ideas is essential for empowering startups and entrepreneurs to drive innovation forward.      2️⃣ Discussions this year included transformative topics such as #ArtificialIntelligence and how it is changing #SoftwareDevelopment, #Cybersecurity, #Fintech, #TechnologyRevolutions, the rise of #SustainableSolutions, and cross-industry innovation.      3️⃣ We are happy that #Sustainability was a hot topic as Brad Smith, President of Microsoft, addressed it, and IBM released its first State of Sustainability Readiness Report, revealing that 88% of business leaders plan to increase IT investments for sustainability in the next future. For us, this is incredible news and a promising step toward greener innovation.      Attending the event was a great chance to learn from global tech leaders, since we at Airizon are constantly seeking to stay at the forefront of technology, with the goal of a better future and cleaner skies.

🎉 Airizon proudly took flight in #China at the Belt & Road Key and Core Technology Achievement Trade Fair 2024!   In Xi’an and Beijing, by the side of four forward-thinking Italian companies like 221e, 20energy, Plantvoice SB, and Galvani Power, we had the opportunity to showcase our pioneering #sustainable tech solutions for #aviation.
