Leaving an abusive relationship is often the hardest and bravest step a survivor can take. But what happens when the abuse doesn’t stop, when it simply takes a different form? Post-separation abuse happens when abusers manipulate institutions — courts, police, child maintenance systems  —to maintain control, retraumatize, and discredit their victims.  And, sometimes, the very systems meant to protect may enable this abuse. 🎯 Raising awareness is crucial — not just to support survivors, but to push for systemic change. Gender-based violence takes many forms — some visible, others hidden beneath the surface. It can be physical, economic, psychological. It can manifest as bruises on the skin, financial control that traps a woman in silence, or words that slowly erode her sense of worth. In every case, the impact is profound. The trauma lingers long after the violence itself, leaving scars that undermine a woman’s confidence, security, and identity. Gender-based violence is a societal failure, a systemic pattern of male abuse that erodes our culture from within. However, it is not inevitable, but preventable. Realised with the collaboration of Chora Media, Echoes of Harm is a four-episode podcast that explores the internal wounds and lasting scars— those that erode a woman’s fundamental sense of self, her ability to thrive, or even exist, in this world. Guided by the feminist journalist Marisa Bate, this journey brings us face to face with survivors, family members of femicide victims, psychiatrists helping women heal, and those on the front lines of this global fight. Today, February 10th, is International #EpilepsyDay. 💜 In anticipation of this day, we proudly joined and supported the #50MillionSteps campaign organized by INTERNATIONAL BUREAU FOR EPILEPSY to raise awareness about epilepsy and break the stigma surrounding this condition. Our virtual marathon — symbolically covering the distance from our headquarters in Rome to our farthest location in Albany, Georgia (US) — has now come to an end.
