Day 3 of #TBMC24 stepped up the action with Apptio's 2025 innovation roadmap reveal! 🛣️ Between power-packed breakouts, amazing Joyristas from Java Joy kept the energy high with caffeine fixes and plenty of positivity. With the lively Top Gun-themed party featuring a Tom Cruise impressionist and a Maverick-style jet simulator, the final day was electrifying and couldn’t have wrapped up on a higher note. To close out the breakout sessions this year, we showcased how IBM Apptio and IBM Cloudability are leveraging #AI to provide expert guidance, automate insights, and deliver industry benchmarks for #TBM and #FinOps practitioners. Sneha Varghese discussed how IBM Cloudability ensures cloud initiatives align with corporate objectives. And Ann Marie Chow empowered businesses to make decisions that not only enhance operational efficiency but are also better for the planet with her session on #sustainability.

We had a fantastic time at the "Birds of a Feather" happy hour! Experts led lively discussions on everything from #AI and #FinOps to building a #TBM office, with interactive rounds that let everyone dive into what matters most to them. Great networking, amazing insights, and a beautiful view on the terrace made this a standout event!

In our last day of breakout sessions, Forrester's Tracy Woo shared her recommendations for the future of FinOps and navigating emerging trends! We had a great presentation about the power of IBM Concert from Jennifer Fitzgerald! Joel Soutenare, our Solutions Consultant, shared his insights into how IBM Apptio Costing Essentials enables organizations to focus on business outcomes by gaining visibility into their tech costs. Plus, Enda Magennis and Lisa Scrimger from NatWest Group shared their plans for #TBM and how to expand across non-tech domains. Keep an eye out for the on-demand sessions!

Our CPO, Eugene Khvostov, started today’s #TBMC24 keynotes with an insider’s look into the upcoming advancements for the Apptio product suite, including simplifying the experience, building scalable systems of intelligence to deliver outcomes, and taking actions on your behalf through automation. Plus, Philip Alfano took the stage to give us a look at how to measure and demonstrate the value of AI investments through metrics like customer satisfaction, mean time to repair, and reduced support tickets. Panelists Fumbi Chima, Enda Magennis, Matt Lyteson, and Jenny Wood discussed how they established successful #TBM practices at their organizations. They dug into everything from the challenges of starting a TBM practice in new organizations and figuring out how to define value to the advice they would give their past selves – highlighting the importance of community and not waiting for perfection. Matthew Guarini took center stage alongside Dickerson Miles, Franck Faessel, and Rajiv Subramanian, who shared their paths as leaders adopting TBM. Dickerson talked about his past experience with saving on tech costs and how he’s moving the needle now with TBM. Rajiv and Frank discussed the evolution of FinOps at Nokia, including how they were initially met with resistance from leadership. Overall, they all concluded that the journey needs to start with TBM. And, lastly, Chad Doiron of Accenture closed out by providing insight into why a modern #ITFM function is essential to measuring investment spend and value. He shifted the conversation to include CEOs and the transformation of the business as a whole, saying that the CIO “doesn’t have to be the sole change agent.”

Day 2 of #TBMC24 was a powerhouse ⚡ of transformative insights! Starting with inspiring keynotes, the day led into action-packed breakouts across six tracks, including #IT finance, #cloud, and hybrid portfolio management.
