The ASDPlasticMaterial family of constitutive models enhances the simulation capabilities of OpenSees by allowing users to customize models through a selection of yield functions, plastic-flow directions, elasticity laws, and hardening models for internal variables. This approach combines flexibility with high performance, catering to a broad range of engineering applications. The session will commence with an overview of classical elastoplasticity theory, followed by a brief exploration of the implementation within OpenSees. Through a series of practical examples, we will demonstrate the application of ASDPlasticMaterial in OpenSeesPy and the #STKO constitutive tool. The webinar will conclude with a discussion on solving boundary-value problems, showcasing the robustness, performance and adaptability of the new models. ✨ Proud to share that our Partner and Researcher, Guido Camata, presented our work "STATE OF THE ART DIGITAL TWINNING: THE CASE STUDY OF THE MINCIO'S BRIDGE" at the 18th World Conference on Earthquake Engineering (WCEE2024) in Milan, Italy. 🔎 This presentation showcased our innovative digital twinning technology and its application to the Mincio Bridge. Her presentation showcased her work on using #OpenSees in conjunction with #STKO, our in-house software for structural analysis, to model the behavior of aggregate buildings under seismic loads. 🔎 Sofia's research is helping to address these challenges by developing new tools that can more accurately predict the seismic performance of aggregate buildings. 💡 Today Professor Raffaele De Risi of the University of Bristol presented a new structure monitored and analyzed with #MonStr sensors and our #STKO software at the 18th World Conference on Earthquake Engineering (WCEE2024) in Milan, Italy. The #MonStr sensors are a powerful tool for structural health monitoring #SHM. They are small, lightweight, and easy to install, making them ideal for a wide range of applications.
