In Nieuwpoort, on the Belgian coast, we made waves with a giant OOH poster and a Photobooth activation offering a chance to win a trip to Italy, plus a Borotalco deodorant refresh corner that attracted around 150,000 people 🎉 But wait, there’s more! Last week, our newly formed Bolton #Food Business Unit, uniting our Food and Tri Marine (Tuna Supply) businesses, came together in #Milan for the first time under the theme "Together, To Get There." Over the three days, more than 100 leaders from around the world participated in activities designed to foster connections and provide them with tools, insights and strategies for navigating changes and make the difference in the seafood industry. We are stronger together and as #OneBolton Food Team, we will pave the way to becoming the #1 fully integrated global tuna company for the world. #Bolton #BoltonFood #TogtherToGetThere 

Over the last years, we focused our efforts to support our employees, their families and local communities in Manta, #Ecuador, and Agadir, #Morocco, where our tuna production plants are located. In Manta, in 2023, we supported four schools by enhancing their infrastructure and providing essential educational materials such as educational toys and school supplies. We also offered school #scholarships, organized summer camps and provided extracurricular classes to our employees’ children, with a total of 544 children as beneficiaries. In Agadir, our educational projects in 2023 included the support to 5 schools to improve their infrastructure and to provide them with different supplies, and a literacy program with 81 beneficiary employees. Besides, we provided our employees’ children with school and university scholarships, summer camps and extracurricular classes. We are proud to positively impact 309 children through these programs. Last week we gathered with nearly 300 leaders from around the world to celebrate our 75th anniversary in Greece, the land of our founder. Together we listened to the future with the strength of our past, we had fun and, most importantly, we strengthened the strong community that is Bolton. Warm up your basketballs! 🏀 The new #Simmenthal Playground in Milan is open and waiting for your best dunks! We have worked on a community engagement project focused on the enhancement of a #basketball playground in Milan. Located at Via Soderini 41, this project breathes new life into a space that serves as a key gathering point for the local community. Managed by 'Campo Olimpia 1975,' the area has long been a social hub, especially for students of nearby schools. After Simmenthal’s comeback on the basketball court with Olimpia Milano, the brand now shoots the basketball closer to the people, reconnecting with their passions and the language of the community — where sport and music thrive, and cultural energy is palpable. 🎨🏀🎶 The vision behind this project is simple: to provide a creative, modern, and safe space where children and the community can gather, play, and feel connected. The refreshed playground now reflects the vibrant and colorful world of Simmenthal and the young people who will bring it to life every day. The playground’s new look is thanks to #Nineinthepaint, a street art collective led by Francesca Cassani, which specializes in transforming spaces across Italy through creative designs. The refreshed playground now boasts a vibrant and contemporary feel that speaks to the spirit of youth, community, and inclusivity. Together with over 2,500 experts from around the world, we participated in the 22nd World Congress of Food Science and Technology IUFOST in Rimini to explore the future challenges in the food sector! Held from September 8th to 12th, this prestigious event provided a unique platform to emphasize the importance of sustainable innovation. We were honored to contribute to the program with Alberto Dolci Ph.D, our Global Strategic Health & Science Program Manager, participating in the session "Research and Innovation for Sustainable Food Systems from Production to Consumption: The Italian Challenge," where he highlighted the critical role of public-private collaboration in advancing the economic and social responsibility of the food industry. In such an international context, we were excited to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, uniting diverse scientific communities to address the critical issues facing the food industry. We are pleased to announce that Rio Mare, in collaboration with WWF ITALIA, has achieved notable milestones in the preservation of #Mangrove forests in the Gulf of Guayaquil, Ecuador.   🌳 For the International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem, we celebrated the renewal of the ten-year concessions for forest management to the three ancestral communities supported by WWF and Rio Mare. Since 2000, the Ministry of the Environment of #Ecuador has implemented a mangrove conservation strategy, entrusting the management of these forests to local communities. Within their transformative #partnership, Rio Mare and WWF have supported three ancestral communities through economic, technical, and bureaucratic support and the necessary tools to monitor and protect over 8,000 hectares of mangroves, precious ecosystems capable of storing large amounts of carbon dioxide and preserving biodiversity to ensure the #sustainable management of natural resources. 🎯 Our mission is clear: to continue promoting responsible and sustainable fishing, providing a better future for local communities, and protecting marine ecosystems. #Bolton #WWF #RioMare #Sustainability #Sustainablefishing
