Siempelkamp Service Workshop in Bangkok: 46 participants from 13 customers from 4 countries (Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam) had the opportunity to attend the 2024 edition of our workshop and to meet our experts representing the Siempelkamp group companies for the woodworking industry. “Siempelkamp Service Excellence” experts from Siempelkamp Logistics & Service (SLS), Büttner and Pallmann as well as experts from CMC Texpan presented the best practices to operate and maintain the existing equipment and the latest innovations to optimize the performance and uptime of Siempelkamp board manufacturing plants. The focus was on the topics "Production Efficiency", "Innovative Wood-Based Products", "Emissions control and Equipment Optimization" and "Enhancing Wood Processing". During 2024, we had the pleasure of collaborating with a group of students of the high school I.T.S. Francesco Viganò located in Merate (Lecco), for the realization of a project aimed at encouraging the waste sorting. Observing the hurry and distraction in sorting waste, the students of 5G class, thought of making waste sorting easier by automating the sorting process. Therefore, they create the “SmartSorter”, which is a multi-compartment bin that, based on reading the barcode on the waste, automatically opens the correct compartment. We collaborated enthusiastically in the construction of the prototype, in an area that is close to our heart: care for the environment and for proper waste separation. https://lnkd.in/dVGFa6qu Congratulations to the high school I.T.S. Francesco Viganò di Merate (Lecco), per la realizzazione di un progetto volto ad incentivare la raccolta differenziata. Osservando la fretta e la distrazione nel diversificare i rifiuti, i ragazzi della classe 5G hanno pensato di rendere la raccolta differenziata più semplice, automatizzando il processo di selezione. Hanno così ideato lo “SmartSorter”, ossia un cestino a più comparti, che in base alla lettura del codice a barre presente sul rifiuto, apre in automatico il corretto comparto.
