🔬 Nel recente lavoro “Personalized and Adaptive Interventions for Smoking Cessation: Emerging Trends and Determinants of Efficacy”, un team internazionale di ricerca, guidato dal prof. #smokingcessation #riduzionedeldanno #ecig Riccardo Polosa 👉I risultati nell’articolo https://lnkd.in/dkD9PNxB

🔬 In the recent study “Personalized and Adaptive Interventions for Smoking Cessation: Emerging Trends and Determinants of Efficacy”, an international research team, led by Dr. Gal Cohen, Head of Scientific Affairs at Rose Research Center, and conducted in collaboration with Italian researchers from CoEHAR, analyzed the limitations and prospects of the most commonly used smoking cessation methods, concluding that adaptive smoking cessation approaches can represent a better solution for individuals who struggle with traditional methods. This state-of-the-art review article in iScience highlights the complexities of cigarette addiction and innovations in cessation products. By focusing on individual determinants of efficacy—such as sensory preferences and nicotine tolerability—the article offers fresh insights into smoking cessation and advocates for personalized, adaptive treatment plans. It also highlights how emerging approaches, like cytisine and combustion-free nicotine delivery systems, provide promising new avenues to reduce smoking-related morbidity. #harmreduction #smokingcessation #adaptivetreatments Riccardo Polosa Carlo Maria Bellanca 👉The study in the article https://lnkd.in/eAFrupNa

Prof. Riccardo Polosa meets the international partners of the THRUST project in Munich to share and analyze the data collected so far and to strategically plan the next months. The #thrust project is the latest initiative carried out by #CoEHAR in Catania. The project, conceived and coordinated by prof. Riccardo Polosa, aims to evaluate smoking-related respiratory endpoints through innovative tools and the analysis of new biomarkers. Considering that #cigarette smoking leads to progressive structural damage and functional alterations in the lungs, the project aims to use innovative computerized imaging systems combined with artificial intelligence to detect early changes caused by smoking in the respiratory tract. #stopsmoking #research Stefano Palmucci https://lnkd.in/eYXrDdf4
