The two-day meeting of the DIS4SME project, hosted in Varazdin (Croatia) by the Partner Sveučilište Sjever / University North, has ended. The meeting was of particular importance for defining the activities of the last project year and above all the provision of 👩🏫 short-courses to SMEs about criteria and concepts of #location #data #interoperability applied to different #business #cases such as precision #agriculture, #road monitoring, mobile #food #marketplace, #DigitalTwin. Yesterday, 11th December, in Padova, during the #ASITA2024 Conference, the Workshop “L’esperto di interoperabilità dei dati geospaziali: nuove opportunità professionali nella trasformazione verde e digitale” took place as part of the #DIS4SME Project, coordinated by GISIG Geographical Information Systems International Group. Giacomo Martirano, from Epsilon Italia, the project's scientific coordinator, presented the training offer. The project aims to provide skills in the field of geospatial data interoperability, addressing not only the technical aspects but also the semantic, legal, and organizational dimensions. This would create a preferential pathway for those looking to strengthen their job position or seeking qualifying employment. Federazione ASITA

Today, at 14:30 CET, in Padova, Italy, the #DIS4SME project will be presented at the #ASITA2024 Conference, one of the most significant events in Italy dedicated to geospatial data and technologies. The project will take center stage during a workshop organized by GISIG Geographical Information Systems International Group, focusing on geospatial data interoperability and the emerging professional profile of the Geospatial Data Interoperability Expert. Key project partners, including #CNR-IMATI and Epsilon Italia, will participate in the session. Giacomo Martirano, the project’s scientific coordinator from EPSILON Italia, will deliver a detailed presentation of the project’s results. This workshop provides an excellent platform to promote the DIS4SME project to the Italian geospatial community, highlight the importance of #geospatial_data_interoperability, and foster interest in the project’s training programs. It will also serve as an opportunity to encourage registrations for the upcoming #training_activities planned at both national and European levels.
