The EU Circular Economy Visits LOHUM: We welcomed high-level officials from the Delegation of the European Union to India, along with representatives from leading European #BatteryRecycling companies Ecomet Refining S.p.A., and ENERIS, for an immersive tour of our facilities. The visit was part of the matchmaking process by the WG2 of the EU-India TTC. The EU delegation included the EU Directorate-General for Innovation and Research in ASEAN Pierrick Fillon-Ashida, and Senior Experts Juliane Frömmter and Leena Pishe Thomas. The EU's #BatteryRecycling ecosystem was represented by Andrea Guidali, Mechanical Engineer, Ecomet Refining s.p.a., Stefano Zoi, Sales Executive, Ecomet Refining, @Christophe Saint-Yves, Chairman of the Board, Eneris, and Agata Juzyk, Board Member, Eneris. We also hosted Senior Battery Recycling Analyst Luke Sweeney of Fastmarkets and Research Analyst Varnika Agarwal of Rho Motion; two market intelligence companies from London that found common ground at LOHUM. The delegation was keenly interested in learning about our history, journey, and impact on the world stage. They met LOHUM scientists, engineers, and managers who walked them through India's largest #Lithium Refinery, the nation's only #NMC #CathodeActiveMaterial plant, and our 40,000 sq. ft. #R&D Innovation Centre. We had a great time demonstrating how our focus on innovation has led us to build inroads to #CriticalMineral circularity. We also discussed B2B opportunities across #India and the #EU and explored ways to increase trade & cooperation in critical minerals across the free world. The tour concluded with a hearty lunch, where we continued our discussions. Thanking everyone who visited us, including Scientist ‘G’ Dr. M. Mohanty, FNAAS and Scientist ‘D’ Hafsa Ahmad from the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, and the India-EU Trade and Technology Council for organizing the interaction. Gazanfar Safvi (Safavi), Dr. Chidambaram Mandan, Pratyush Sinha, Chetan Jain, Dr. Sachchidanand Srivastava, Bhavana Mahajan, Amrita D.
