Is there a demand for talent who can do product management + product design? Something interesting has been happening to me lately. 👀 Early stage start ups are reaching out to me for my product management advice… For those of you that know me the reason why that’s funny is because I’m not a product manager… 😂 But as a founder, growth designer, and investor I have a unique skill set. As you know, early stage startups are an all hands on deck type situation.🫡 Couple that with the market trend to be a lot leaner, And Founders and investors trying to make their money go further. 💵 All roads point towards each person needing to pack their weight in value, while working around traditional team structures. My friend Thijs Kraan talks about the rise of fractional design leaders. Tom Scott points out fractional is the solution for companies that can’t afford full time design leadership. What do you think the future of design is? Is it perhaps someone who is capable of product management and product design? Particularly for early stage companies, this seems to be a sweet spot with loads of value and ROI.

"#ToNite stands out as one of the first projects funded by the European Union focused on night policies, advocating for collaborative approach to urban security at night. The project offered an alternative to traditional measures based on territorial control and repression. By targeting areas such as Aurora and Vanchiglia, which face typical challenges experienced after dark, the city of #Turin harnessed the power of the local community to create new services through the collaborative regeneration of public spaces."

The last Journal of ToNite is out! ToNite has been a pioneer among the EU co-funded projects on night policies, with its action on Turin's suburban areas of Aurora and Vanchiglia made vibrant and safe again at night with the active collaboration of the residents. Glad to have supported the project at end of its activities as UIA-European Urban Initiative expert author of the last Journal which focuses on the lessons learned, the legacy in the urban context and the plans for long-term sustainability. The project funded by the EU under the Urban Innovative Actions programme made the Italian city a testing ground for innovative solutions, that will be replicated in other European contexts with the URBACT Transfer Network 2Nite in the next few years. torinoeuprojects Torino Urban Lab Stefano Lo Russo Chiara Foglietta 24HourNation Randall White Fabrizio Barbiero Cities After Dark Chiara Lucchini Giulietta Fassino Luca Ballarini Giacomo Biraghi European Forum for Urban Security (Efus) Experientia Engineering Group SocialFare | Centro per l'Innovazione Sociale SocialFare Seed Università degli Studi di Torino ANCI Piemonte ANCI - Associazione nazionale Comuni italiani Paolo Testa Daniela Patti espereal technologies Antonio Serra Stefano Di Polito Eutropian UN-Habitat (United Nations Human Settlements Programme) Juma Assiago Mathieu Grondin Federica Michieletti La Stampa Elisa Copertino Roberta Bertero Michela Lucchini Alice Zanasi Gianfranco Todesco Valter Cavallaro
