We are fully committed to complying with the upcoming #EUDR, a regulation designed to transform the industry by preventing the import and trade of commodities linked to #deforestation and enforcing strict traceability and due diligence requirements. This pivotal directive is set to be enforced by December 30, 2024. In late September, the EU Commission proposed an extension of 12 additional months for the phasing-in period, responding to appeals from global partners. If approved by the European Parliament and the Council, this amendment would mean the law would take effect on December 30, 2025, for large companies, and June 30, 2026, for micro and small businesses. In anticipation of these changes, our company is investing significant resources to gain a comprehensive understanding of the EUDR. We are proactively collaborating with our strategic suppliers to assess their readiness for compliance. Additionally, we are exploring advanced internal traceability systems and crafting a detailed roadmap to facilitate a smooth implementation of EUDR compliance across our production facilities. This initiative underscores our dedication to navigating new standards for sustainability and transparency in the industry. “I like the challenge, it push you to do things differently”. These the words of Diego Monti, the owner of Grafica Monti who was thrilled to take on the challenge proposed by graphic designer Dario Carta for our 2023 Annual Report. This project was a true test of creativity, given to its unique graphic requirements. But the collaboration was a fruitful example of teamwork, with both parties working together to achieve the best possible outcome. The artisanal nature of the project meant that all the work was done manually, from the stitching to the gluing. The end result is a stunning piece of work that showcases the best of Italian craftsmanship. We're proud to have worked with such talented individuals capable to imagine and produce a report that is also an experience in itself. We were recently featured on French broadcaster BFMTV, where Séverine Calmus and Céline Bertuzzi illustrated our Group and the ongoing commitment to sustainability . The interview took place during a special event focused on ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) practices, bringing together around thirty clients from the luxury sector. It all started with a question: “How can we accelerate the growth of our Operations team leaders as role models in safety, efficiency, and quality?” After months of intensive design sessions, multilingual learning resources, interactive training, team-building activities, and local events involving colleagues from our plants, the "Being a Team Leader – Operations Journey" program was born. By integrating our strategic pillars with our people’s needs and collaborating with the BTS team, we created a journey that participants found relevant, concrete, and aligned with their real-world experiences. Today, it makes us proud that this same program has been recognized with two Silver Medals at the Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards for 2024, in the categories of Best Leadership Development Program and Best Unique or Innovative Learning and Development Program. It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a year since we opened the doors to the Fedrigoni Innovation Center in Verona. Over the past 12 months, this space has become a hub for us, our clients and partners to develop projects, events, partnerships and collaborations that are driving the future of materials for packaging, labels, and beyond.   Innovation is at the heart of everything we do and is essential in helping us fulfill our purpose of elevating creativity—empowering designers, brands, converters, printers and creators to bring their most imaginative ideas to life in the best way possible.    None of this would have been possible without the dedication of our team and the trust of our partners. Drawing inspiration from the iconic Magritte painting, graphic designer Dario Carta imagined beyond to create a truly unique and captivating design for our 2023 Annual Report. We take you for the fourth time "behind the scenes" of this disruptive project, where he pushed the boundaries of creativity to elevate the report to new heights. Indeed, this report was meant to be more than just a visual feast. It's an experience. For example, Dario paid particular attention to the binding and glue visibility, symbolizing the "vitality" of the product and its connection to sustainability.
