This marks a key step in our commitment to reducing our environmental impact and aligns us with global standards for transparency and accountability. This rating is part of a broader effort to engage with leading ESG ratings like S&P Global and EcoVadis. These external assessments help us track progress, set benchmarks, and identify areas for continuous improvement. They also ensure we meet the growing expectations of investors, brands, and conscious consumers who are increasingly prioritizing companies with strong environmental practices. Andrea Demichelis journey at Fedrigoni began in our Milan office, where he quickly adapted to the company's fast-paced dynamics. Less than a year into the job, he took on the role of Head of Finance for Latin America, based in Chile—a move that brought significant challenges but also immense opportunities for growth. In Chile, Andrea focused on restructuring finance processes, supporting commercial functions, and coordinating with the procurement team. His efforts in fostering collaboration across diverse teams and cultures, along with the support from his colleagues in South America and back in Italy, were crucial in driving change and making him feel welcome in a new country. How are we progressing in sustainability? Our latest S&P Global results are in: our ESG score has reached 74/100,an improvement of +10 points over last year! Significant improvements were made in areas such as sustainable procurement, risk assessment and environmental management. The most notable progress was in the social dimension (+15 points), highlighting advances in human rights, workplace safety, and community engagement. Key achievements also included greater transparency in sustainability reporting, biodiversity, and cybersecurity, as well as continued strides in resource efficiency, climate strategies, and circular innovation. We believe that driving meaningful change in our value chain requires more than just measuring ESG performance—it demands action. That’s why we’ve partnered with EcoVadis, a global leader in sustainability ratings, to embed ESG principles deep into our procurement strategy. Since launching this collaboration, we’ve integrated ESG criteria into supplier evaluations, implemented robust performance reviews, and provided targeted training through the EcoVadis Academy. The results? A more transparent, responsible, and high-performing supply chain. In 2024, our sustainable procurement score reached 90/100 in EcoVadis assessment, improving of 10 points compared to last year. Our "Making Progress" strategy to 2030 is based on challenging goals, ranging from materials designed for an optimal end-of-life, deeper supplier engagement, to a strong decarbonization plan and a safe, inclusive workplace.
