The #RaisinaDialogue is always a crucial moment—an opportunity to step outside the magic bubble and engage with global challenges. Attending as a Western woman is both humbling and essential, a reminder that transforming food systems requires collaboration beyond borders. A Bridge Between Continents: Development, Adaptation, and #FoodSecurity: I had the honor of speaking on a panel exploring how #Africa and #Asia can drive food security through infrastructure, trade, and innovation hubs. Unlocking their potential means investing in agro-digital corridors, climate adaptation finance, and governance frameworks that foster resilience. After the initial remarks from Jaideep Mazumdar – Secretary East, Ministry of External Affairs, India 🇮🇳 we have been debating with Sarah Anyang Agbor – Vice President, Forum For African Women Educationalists - Kenya Chapter 🇰🇪 Chevaan Daniel Executive Group Director, Capital Maharaja Group 🇱🇰 Rob Hewett – Chairman, Silver Fern Farms 🇳🇿 Chitkala Kalidas – Senior VP & Global Head of ESG, Bayer 🇺🇸 and Sunaina Kumar Observer Research Foundation 🇮🇳 The future of food security in Africa and Asia is intrinsically linked to how we innovate, collaborate, and govern food systems. At the Future Food Institute we see food as a lever for global transformation, using education, research, and regenerative ecosystems to drive real impact. But also the report released by the Commission on Global Food Security at the Kofi Annan Foundation has reinforced the urgent need for governance innovation—not just in policies, but in how we cultivate knowledge, finance climate adaptation, and create cross-continental trade and technology bridges. A Call to Action: Redefining #Food as a Global #PublicGood We advocate for a new global governance framework—one that treats food security as a human right, a climate solution, and an economic driver. We must move beyond emergency responses to build systemic resilience because food security is not just about feeding people—it’s about regenerating the planet, empowering communities, and unlocking the economic potential of entire continents. Let’s reimagine food not as a commodity but as the currency of peace, sustainability, and shared prosperity. More reflections and thoughts will follow the post-RAISINA dialogue…, which always intense and positively challenging...
