Global Talent Solutions Leader and CEO of Future Manager USA - Supporting US firms with leadership challenges around the world and global firms to enter the US market and grow

Japan to Texas! Week 14… I never cease to be amazed at how diverse my new home in North Texas continues to become. From the outside, there is a prevailing stereotypical view of Texas as “old fashioned” and “full of cowboys” which is dismissive of the historical foundation that the state is built upon and the diverse and international economic juggernaut that it has become. I had a great catch up over coffee with an inspiring entrepreneur who is building bridges between his native Japan and the US. Chihiro Shinzaki came to Texas and started a successful wireless business that supports the Japanese community when they first land in the US. Also, through his online advice for expats and Japanese entrepreneurs, he has become a “go to” guy for Japanese wanting to live the American dream like him. I am looking forward to collaborating with him on Japan to Texas bridge building! The Tech Titans Innovation Expo in Richardson last week displayed where so much of the diversity and innovation in North Texas is coming from. The room was filled with startup founders who are both lifelong Texans and transplants from around the globe. From the AI assisted design software of Spring AI to the AI community building of AI CONNEX, I learned about a lot of new technology that is bubbling up here in North Dallas and witnessed a community of entrepreneurs supporting each other by enriching the startup ecosystem here. This was all facilitated by Paul Bendel and the Tech Titans team who are working hard to drive innovation and diversity in tech in Texas. On the personal side last weekend, I could not get through October without a visit to Oktoberfest. Luckily, Rey Zuniga, my first friend from Tokyo (27 years +), who is now a transplanted citizen of Grapevine, Texas, invited my daughter, Claire, and I to enjoy the massive Oktoberfest event in Southlake. It was packed with people from all walks of life and cultural backgrounds enjoying great beer along with German food with a Texas twist. Claire and I wrapped up the week with a quick trip to the State Fair of Texas. We had a blast trying crazy fair food, checking out the livestock babies and scouring the midway for winnable carnival games. However, the thing that kept coming back to me was how all of these people from economically, socially and culturally diverse backgrounds could pack into the fair grounds and have a great time together. We hear a lot about divisiveness in the US these days but something people do not talk enough about is our ability to be friendly, courteous and helpful to one another despite our differences. I just want to leave y’all with this…the Texas that you may think you know from media and stereotypes of the past is not the same Texas I am living in today. Day by day I am getting a sense of how the diversity of thought, culture and history of the people here (both homegrown and imported) is driving amazing economic strength and growing innovation in Texas. Come check it out!

🖥️ Technology today is reshaping every aspect of the economy, prompting businesses to adapt to this ongoing digital transformation by embracing new tools and acquiring advanced competencies. 📊 In the Administration, Finance, and Control sector (AFC), European countries are leveraging digital transformation to enhance efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster innovation. By integrating technologies such as automation, AI, and big data, the AFC sector is not only optimizing traditional processes but also opening the door to enhanced decision-making and sustainable growth. 💼 For instance, many Spanish companies are integrating RPA (Robotic Process Automation) into their AFC departments to optimize repetitive tasks, such as accounting, invoice management, and back-office operations, thereby reducing processing times and costs. Similarly, in response to European regulations like GDPR, numerous French companies have invested in digital solutions to ensure compliance: they use software that automates data collection and analysis while also safeguarding information in accordance with regulatory requirements. 🚀 Only by embracing these technological advancements can businesses achieve greater operational efficiency and adaptability, positioning themselves for future growth in an increasingly digital economy. 🤔 Do you agree with this statement? 💯 How to Make Onboarding a Key to Success A smooth and effective onboarding process is critical to setting new hires up for success. However, 42% of remote employees and 39% of hybrid workers report having a poor onboarding experience, which can lead to lasting negative effects on engagement. Common Challenges of Poor Onboarding: ↙ 24% Disengagement: New hires become less motivated and invested. ↙ 33% Regret: Some feel they made a mistake in accepting the role. ↙ 30% Negative Perception: A poor introduction leads to a negative view of the company culture. ↙ 25% Spread Negative Feedback: Employees share their dissatisfaction with others, impacting the company’s reputation. What Makes Onboarding Successful? ↗ Early Engagement: Start involving new hires even before their first day. ↗ Efficient Paperwork: Streamline administrative tasks to minimize stress. ↗ Information Sharing: Provide the right resources and set clear expectations. ↗ Cultural Integration: Help new hires understand the company’s values and workplace dynamics. ↗ Manager & Peer Support: Ensure they feel connected and supported by their team. Onboarding is more than just a formal introduction—it’s crucial for new hires' training, future performance, and long-term engagement with the company. A strong onboarding process sets the foundation for success, compliance, and lasting talent retention. #FutureManagerWorld #PlanningFutureActingPresent #FMWUS #Onboarding #TalentRetention #Success #Business

🌐 Building Bridges: Why Partnerships and Outsourcing are Key to Finance Growth 📊 Today’s finance professionals are moving beyond traditional financial management, adopting a broader approach that integrates new technologies, automation, data-driven insights, and cross-department collaboration. 🤝 One of the key trends in 2024 is the increasing use of strategic partnerships and outsourcing, which enables businesses to access specialized expertise and resources without requiring extensive in-house recruitment. 🚀 Importantly, the motivation behind these partnerships has shifted. While cost reduction and operational efficiency were once the primary drivers, the focus now is on leveraging partnerships to integrate services and capabilities that organizations cannot easily develop on their own. This approach emphasizes long-term, mutually beneficial relationships that drive innovation, transformation, and sustainable growth. #FutureManagerWorld #PlanningFutureActingPresent #FMW #Bank #BankFutureManager #Finance #HR #CorporateFinance

Global Talent Solutions Leader and CEO of Future Manager USA - Supporting US firms with leadership challenges around the world and global firms to enter the US market and grow

Japan to Texas! Week 13… In honor of lucky week 13 in my journey, I want to reflect on my good luck in choosing Texas as my base for business in the US. Also, connected to the YTexas Summit 2024, Which I attended last week I will start discussing why I chose Dallas as my new home. Since coming to Texas, I have been the beneficiary of plenty of "Texas Hospitality”, being welcomed and connected to other like-minded people, all in the name of collaboration and business. My experience with the YTexas Summit 2024, introduced by my friend, Dan Sinawat of AI CONNEX, took this to a whole different level. The event marked my first trip to AT&T Stadium, home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys. The venue was not only massive but totally classy as well. It was an awesome experience to be down on the field all day meeting people from industry, government and education who were there to share ideas and collaborate on how to make Texas even better for business. One of the hottest topics of the day was the Texas Stock Exchange | TXSE Group Inc project. Pending approval, the exchange will start trading in 2025 and launch listings in 2026. It will be located in the heart of Dallas and bring even more global financial business here. As many are starting to say, Wall Street is moving to Y’all Street! Also not to be missed was the promotion of the 2026 World Cup for Football/Soccer. AT&T Stadium in Dallas will host 9 matches including a semi-final! There was so much excitement and collaboration going on at the event that I cannot cover it all. The connections I made in only 5 hours are filling up my calendar this month with discussions on bringing more global business to Texas. The economic growth, the logistical infrastructure, low cost of living, excellent talent pool and absence of state income tax, make Dallas a no-brainer for business. However, still the biggest incentive, as made abundantly clear at the YTexas Summit, is the business-friendly attitude which connects people and drives collaboration. As a fun note for a sports fan like me, you have to love events in Dallas as they always come with some sports flavoring. Not only was the event held on the Dallas Cowboys’ home turf, there were also many NFL alumni present sharing stories about their careers on the gridiron as well as in business, post-football. The capper was an inspiration speech by NFL Hall of Famer, Drew Pearson, who I also got to meet (see the autograph below). I did not grow up a Cowboys fan but this city is certainly starting to influence me… I have been so fortunate to land in Dallas where the infrastructure, economics and ecosystem are all set up for business success. However, the most important factor for me thus far has been the vibe created here by all of the business-forward people who believe in Dallas and in Texas and who are making it THE place to be for business in the US. Stay tuned! #FutureManagerWorld #PlanningFutureActingPresent #FMWUS #CEO #Market #USA #Texas #YTexas
