What is the status of the sustainability transition among European SMEs? Sustainability is a journey, but are SMEs accelerating or slowing down? The share of SMEs leading on ESG remains unchanged, with both “Heroes” and “Soon-to-be” adopters holding firm and demonstrating resilience within a complex international context. However, a slight rise in “Laggards” - those showing no interest in ESG - signals the need for targeted institutional support to close the gap. This is one of the latest insights from the 4th White Paper, developed by the Sustainability Lab at SDA Bocconi in collaboration with Generali, provide an updated perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing Europe's business landscape. This research is part of #SMEEnterPRIZE, Generali’s initiative promoting sustainability among SMEs. Generali supports the Marina Militare's exhibition “A tutto tondo – Nave Vespucci’s World Tour,” featuring photographs by Massimo Sestini, organised by Barcolana in collaboration with the Regione Autonoma Friuli Venezia Giulia, PromoTurismoFVG, Comune di Trieste. On 1st March, after a two-year journey around the world, the iconic Nave Vespucci returned home to Trieste, the city where Generali was founded in 1831, welcomed by a spectacular maritime celebration. Meanwhile, in the morning, the exhibition “A tutto tondo” was inaugurated at Palazzo della Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia, offering visitors a unique photographic journey through Massimo Sestini’s images documenting the ship’s voyage. The exhibition will be open until 7th March, before travelling to Venice, where it will be displayed at the Procuratie in Piazza San Marco, coinciding with Nave Vespucci’s arrival in the lagoon city. #TourVespucci
