🔥 300 Times Thank You! 3️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ We're still riding the wave of enthusiasm from the unforgettable day at the GovTech Forum 🙌🏼, where we had the honor of bringing together over 300 luminaries, experts, public administration officials and technicians, policymakers, elected representatives, international NGOs, decision-makers from state-owned enterprises, govtech startups and corporates, and media personalities. ✨ It was a special day indeed. The morning was bustling with activity across three working groups 💬 focusing on critical policy challenges: fostering digital talent and skills in public administration, building govtech innovation ecosystems with startups, tech platforms, and VCs, and leveraging govtech for local prosperity and development. 🌏 The momentum continued into the afternoon with inspirational talks and roundtable discussions that delivered magnificent insights on these topics. Alongside these discussions, 🦄 10 handpicked startups brought the GovTech Expo area to life, showcasing their innovative solutions. The atmosphere throughout the day was electric ⚡, filled with a palpable sense that “it can be done”: building a Europe that harmonizes technology and humanism to enhance the prosperity of nations and the wellbeing of people. This vision 👁️ is powered by the determination to pursue it and the ability to rally incredible people around it. This achievement was only possible due to the generosity 🤝🏻 of those who opened doors for us (in some cases, literally gateways), sharing their resources, content, networks, and a piece of themselves to feel and shape this vision together. We extend our deepest gratitude 🫶🏻 to all the Partners and Enablers of our Ecosystem, to all the speakers who have arrived in Milan from every part of the world, and to the Comune di Milano, CDP Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, and ANCI - Associazione nazionale Comuni italiani. After taking a week off to reflect and savor this first edition, we are back, energized, and eager to see all of you again to envision and build the present and the future together. The best is yet to come. 🔝 #GovTechForum #Innovation #DigitalTransformation #PublicSector #Startups #PolicyMaking #FutureIsNow #GovTech #GF24 #PublicSystem #PublicGoods #PA #Urban #LocalDevelopment #Territory #Europe #Italy #Milan #AI #VentureBuilding #OpenInnovation #Prosperity #DigitalSkills #Talent #Ecosystem Marcello Coppa Simone De Battisti Andrea Landini Giacomo Biraghi Layla Pavone (She/Her) Giulio Centemero Bas Boorsma Hubert Beroche Prof. Sabine Junginger, PhD Nicola Villa Saverio Mucci Vincenzo Severino Gloriana Cimmino Roby Senderowitsch Julian Olsen Stefanos Kotoglou Chiara Carlini Gianluca Galletto Giovanna Galasso Guido Arnone Greta Nasi Serafino Sorrenti Guido Guidesi Lorenzo Maternini Federico Mauri Alberto Mina Marina D'Odorico Giorgio Ciron Francesco Cerruti Alessandro Pisani Armando De Crinito Maurizio Giuseppe Millico Giovanna Mavellia Gianfranco Todesco Adolfo Urso

Keynoting at #govtech Forum 2024 in Milan. What I highlighted is how GovTech is evolving from a public sector optimizer to a multiple stakeholder approach in which government may have differing, multiple, larger or smaller roles facilitating the community's current and future well being through GovTech. I used #rotterdam 's approach on #digitaltwinning as an example. And: venture building and start-upism not 'just' to build start-ups, but landing such efforts addressing urban challenges, directly tied to the city itself. Shared three examples of young but fast growing companies that have the capacity to deeply influence govtech: Urbanitarian, UNL and BABLE Smart Cities. Great to be at the event together with my good old friend Nicola Villa, my other old friend Raffaele Gareri and my new friend Tamlyn Shimizu. Well done Marcello Coppa and the rest of the organizing team at #GF24!
