All'epoca di Verdi, era comune udir canticchiare per strada le arie del Nabucco, della Traviata e di Rigoletto. In tutta Italia”. Un pensiero che mi fa un pochino impressione se penso che ora quando sono in autobus o per strada dai cellulari riecheggiano a voce alta le note di Sesso e Samba. Ho scomodato questo paragone perché l’altro giorno ho avuto il piacere - grazie a una delle esperienze organizzate da Giovani Imprenditori Confcommercio Milano durante il ritrovo nazionale (tutto bellissimo, bravi 🚀👏) - di andare a visitare il Grand Hotel et de Milan - Member of The Leading Hotels of the World, storico cinque hotel di Milano che si trova a due passi dal Teatro alla Scala. Tra le cose che mi hanno colpito sottolineo la visita alla suite Verdi. Nel 1872 la suite che oggi porta proprio il suo nome divenne la sua residenza e lo rimase praticamente fino alla sua morte nel 1901. Girare per quello spazio, vedere il suo scrittoio e perdermi tra gli aneddoti e i racconti interessantissimi di Carla Falzone è stato emozionante e bellissimo. Uscendo ho percorso i 674 passi che separano l’hotel dal Teatro alla Scala e mi sono immaginato i pensieri del Maestro mentre tornava proprio nella sua residenza soddisfatto e osannato dopo la prima dell’Otello. Sotto la pioggia ho pensato se mai mi potrà capitare lo stesso per un post Tik Tok con appassionati fuori dalla mia stanza per ore che applaudono (😂🤨). A parte gli scherzi l’hotel ha ospitato oltre al Maestro Verdi tantissime altre personalità di spessore nel tempo come Maria Callas, Caruso e Nureyev e nasconde perle clamorose come il primo antico ascensore idraulico Stiegler originale ancora in funzione. Il tempo, la storia, i racconti vissuti in prima persona quanto valgono nel nostro percorso anche imprenditoriale? Un indimenticabile ballo in maschera.
