🌟 Today, we celebrate the International Day of Photonics! 🌟 On October 21, 1983, the General Conference of Weights and Measures defined the speed of light as 299,792.458 km/s – a fundamental milestone in science. However, the celebration goes beyond this since we owe so much to photonics: from ultra-fast internet through fiber optic cables, to a brighter, more efficient world thanks to LEDs but also, think about, how laser technology has revolutionized medicine and industrial manufacturing; and these are just a few of the groundbreaking innovations made possible by photonics. 🔬 Speaking of LED’s, in the attached image, we see a real-life application of photonics: the screens of our smartphones! Each display is made up of millions of tiny OLEDs, advanced photonic components that accurately reproduce images using the three primary colors. Thanks to their incredible density, these OLEDs deliver images of stunning quality, bringing every detail to life. We, as INFIBRA TECHNOLOGIES, know that life today wouldn’t be the same without this incredible field – and our work wouldn’t exist without its advancements, therefore we are happy to celebrate it! 🌟 INFIBRA TECHNOLOGIES #photonics #light #opticalfiber #laser #oled #led #celebration #dayofphotonics24

We wanted to reflect on our experience at InnoTrans, and here’s what stood out: 👉 Innovation at its peak: The technological advancements, especially in railway tech and infrastructure, were inspiring and reinforced our drive to push the boundaries with our fiber sensing solutions. 👉 Sensors & monitoring systems: These were central to many discussions, and we’re excited about the role INFIBRA TECHNOLOGIES can play. Did you know fiber optic sensing is used to detect elephants on railway tracks in India? That's a great example of real-world impact. 👉 AI everywhere: AI’s role in improving maintenance and operations was clear. The integration of sensors and data analytics is crucial for AI-driven algorithms that predict maintenance needs. Speaking of which, our friends from Next Generation Robotics impressed us with their ARGO robots. We’re thrilled to have attended #InnoTrans2024 an experience that enriched our perspective and strengthened our belief in our contributions to the railway industry.
