While many options for #orthopaedic insoles exist, they are often not customized for the individual patient. In this one-minute video, produced by VPH Institute and KU Leuven, you will discover how the #InSole solution uses advanced #ComputerModels simulations to achieve insoles better personalization, superior performance and correction, thus improving posture, movements, and ultimately quality of life. The InSole solution has been developed by partner KU Leuven and Materialise 📽️👇

Chi siamo
We are the first community on #InSilicoMedicine Our project aims at accelerating the uptake of modelling and simulation technologies used for the development and regulatory assessment of medicines and medical devices, by lowering seven identified barriers: development, validation, accreditation, optimisation, exploitation, information, and training. Our vision is a future where medical products, thanks to the use of modelling and simulation, are developed much faster and with the highest possible safety standards Project funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101016503

Our VPH Institute colleagues interviewed Elisabetta Biasin from partner KU Leuven on the importance of #DataPrivacy. In the #InSilicoWorld project, Elisabetta produced significant contributions such as the “Implementation guidance and guidelines” and “In-depth Analysis of Legal and Ethical Requirements”, which are part of the ISW “Ethical and Legal Framework" that offers guidelines on the ethical and legal aspects of #InSilicoTrials for researchers and end users. Now, go more in-depth with the 5th Episode of the "Digital Twin Theory" Podcast👇
#Data serve as the foundation for in silico medicine, but personal data, especially medical information, are highly sensitive. In this episode of "The Digital Twin Theory" we interviewed Elisabetta Biasin, a doctoral #researcher at the Centre for IT & IP Law (CiTiP) @KU Leuven who enlightened us on: - The impact of #GDPR on medical data; - Ensuring the #security and #privacy of sensitive medical data; - The possibility of using medical data collected in one country (e.g., Italy) while travelling abroad; - How medical data can be used to improve healthcare while maintaining privacy.
