Italmatch took part in Production Chemistry Symposium Conference 2025 held in Geilo (Norway) from March 25th to 28th.   The international conference was aimed at professionals and research institutes involved in the chemistry of oil and gas production, CO2 transport and hydrogen from a sustainable perspective.   The event was an opportunity to compare case studies, research results and innovative developments in the industry, together with topics related to the energy transition journey.   Our colleagues Raul Antonio Di Toto, Global Marketing Director Oil & Gas and Kevin Lonie, Regional Sales Manager EU, took part in one of the technical presentations, talking about Aubin® Xmax, our novel barrier technology for water shut-off, which has been developed to meet the new challenges of offshore oil production and sustainability.   "It was a pleasure to participate in this interesting event. As part of our ongoing commitment to promote dialogue between educational institutions and our company, we were pleased to visit a new school for the OSM Edu project.   This project aims to bridge the gap between companies and the younger generation through mentoring programs and educational sessions, equipping students with the knowledge they need to navigate the professional world with confidence.   This time we had the pleasure of spending a morning with the students from Firpo high school in Genoa, the city where Italmatch's headquarters is located.   "This collaboration allows us to share our experience, preparing young people to face professional challenges with confidence and determination," said our Group GM Corporate Maurizio Turci "We are always keen on contributing to the growth and success of future generations".   These experiences provide a valuable opportunity to engage with young resources. Our R&D centre in Arese (Italy) had the pleasure of hosting a class of students from the "Matilde di Canossa" high school in Como for two days. The initiative, part of the "Let's meet Organic Chemistry" project, allowed the students to explore the world of chemistry through hands-on experiments and interactive demonstrations. "It was a great day! Their curiosity and enthusiasm was inspiring and we are delighted to have shared our knowledge and passion for chemistry with them" said Chiara Monti, R&D and Innovation Manager. "We hope that this experience has sparked their interest in science and encouraged them to pursue studies and careers in research," added Chiara.
