We are pleased to announce the release of the newly updated Responsible Trucking Social Guidelines. Together with CSR Europe and our Responsible Trucking project partners, we reconfirm our commitment to setting higher standards for social performance across the entire supply chain, as well as promoting a culture of respect for the #truck driving profession. The #guidelines outline key requirements and aspirations regarding working conditions and business ethics, and align with important regulations, including the European Mobility Package, the European Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive, the UN Guiding Principles on Business & Human Rights and the ILO MNE Declaration. Every year, we are pleased to offer opportunities for our employees’ children to qualify for grants, awarded through the Sergio Marchionne Student Achievement Awards scholarship programme. This initiative is designed to promote #education and invest in talent, based on academic excellence: last year, 180 pupils were awarded grants around the world. Our IVECO BUS brand is reinforcing its leadership in the #transition to cleaner, greener public transport with three new contracts for hydrogen and battery electric buses in France. The Cannes Lérins Urban Community has ordered twelve GX 337 H2 LINIUM BRT hydrogen fuel cell buses. Lorient Agglomération has also chosen the same model for its network, with an order of nineteen vehicles. This hydrogen fuel cell bus is one of the outcomes of our partnership with Hyundai Motor Company (현대자동차) that started in 2022. The model is equipped with an advanced fuel cell system developed by HTWO, the hydrogen business brand of Hyundai Motor Group, and a battery pack by our FPT Industrial brand. Additionally, Grand Reims Mobilités has selected IVECO BUS to deliver twenty - with an option for an additional nine - GX 437 ELEC LINIUM BRT battery electric buses. This week we were invited, together with Member States and EU decision-making representatives, to attend the High-Level Conference on the EU Automotive Ecosystem organised by the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union #HU24EU. Our CEO, Olof Persson, gave a speech on the peculiarities and the challenges that heavy-duty vehicles, including trucks and buses, currently are and will continue facing on the #transition to carbon neutrality. From a technological innovation perspective, he highlighted how our industry has always been at the forefront with state-of-the-art products, confirmed by the wide offer of battery electric and hydrogen powered heavy-duty vehicles that all European manufacturers already have in their portfolios. He emphasised that on the other hand there is no single solution in #decarbonising heavy trucks; rather there is an urgent need for a technology-neutral regulatory framework that should consider carbon-neutral fuels as complementary to zero-emission technologies for reaching the CO2 reduction targets. Olof reminded everyone that a just and affordable transition will only happen if every actor in the value chain has clear targets and he called on European and National Institutions to provide long-lasting support to customers and transport operators, as this will be fundamental to triggering sustainable carbon-neutral transport in the EU. #WeGoBeyond

Michele Ziosi, our Chief Public Affairs & Sustainability Officer, Domenico Nucera, our President Bus, and Marcio Querichelli, President of IVECO Latin America, met yesterday in Brasília with Geraldo Alckmin, Brazilian Vice-President and Minister of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services.       They spoke of our evolution in the Brazilian market resulting from significant investments in technology and #innovation. They also reaffirmed their optimism about the further #growth of Brazil, highlighting our commitment to transition to carbon neutrality and our leadership in vehicles powered by biofuels, both gaseous and liquid, as well as electricity.
