We are proud to share the time-lapse of our state-of-the-art logistics hub in Roosendaal, rapidly progressing towards delivery early 2025. Within a few weeks, the project will reach its highest point and we’re on track for the next stages. 🌿 This 25,000 m² warehouse is not only expanding in size but also leading in sustainability, with BREEAM-NL Excellent certification, A+++ EPC, solar panels, battery energy storage and by reusing the foundation and floors of the former distribution center. Alexander van Gastel: “When demolishing a building and generating so much debris, it only makes sense to explore what can be reused. The first pillar has been placed for our new logistics facility in 📍#Quarrata, Tuscany (Italy). Denckermann at Logicor Annopol! We are excited to announce that we have signed a lease agreement with Denckermann for 16,370 sqm of warehouse and office space at Logicor Annopol. 📝 This is the largest transaction in the Polish urban logistics real estate market this year! The warehouse will be used for distributing automotive parts throughout Europe, with the company generating nearly €30 million in sales last year. 🌿🌍 To celebrate our environmental volunteering day in Poland, we teamed up with the Fundacja Aeris Futuro to plant 1,700 bushes and bulbs around one of Warsaw’s most well-known nursing homes, "U Matysiaków”. The home, which accommodates around 100 elderly residents, is dedicated to their care and well-being. This initiative is part of the “Time for the Forest” program, aimed at neutralizing CO2 emissions and protecting the natural environment 🌳. By participating, we’re supporting sustainable development and contributing to the well-being of our planet. 🌿 How can we rethink sustainability in brown field developments? 🌿 This past summer, Logicor Netherlands started the redevelopment of a distribution center in Roosendaal, the Netherlands. Instead of simply demolishing and discarding old materials, the project is reusing resources like the foundation and floors from the original structure. “Demolishing and disposing of an old building is no longer an option,” explains Alexander van Gastel, Director of Logicor Netherlands and Belgium. The center will expand from 15,000 to over 25,000 square meters, with a strong focus on sustainability. It will achieve a BREEAM Excellent certification and an A++++ energy label, and is set for completion in the first quarter of 2025. Van Gastel shares, “Beyond the BREEAM certification, we looked for ways to make the building even more sustainable. By reusing materials and reducing transportation, we’re cutting CO2 emissions further.” ♻️ Reusing materials from an old distribution center adds a whole new dimension to this project. Although the former center was functional until recently, it was inefficient in layout and outdated in design. Now, we’re transforming it into a modern, efficient, and sustainable facility that not only benefits the environment but also adds economic and aesthetic value.
