Loro Piana presented an immersive installation at Milan Fashion Week – a space exploring its craftsmanship and mastery of linen. In honour of this heritage, the Maison showcased a Bobbin of Nm110, an exclusive linen yarn of extraordinary fineness. On September 17th, LVMH Métiers d’Excellence and Loro Piana proudly announced the winners of the second edition of the Italian "Maestri d’Eccellenza" Prize, the first award dedicated to recognizing Italian artisans and bringing to light the importance of preserving craftsmanship and unique savoir-faire, with a jury composed of LVMH, Loro Piana, The National Chamber for Italian Fashion, Confartigianato Imprese, Altagamma, Vogue Italia representatives and chaired by artist Fabrizio Plessi.   This year's winners are: Antonio Dattis for the category Maestro Artigiano d’Eccellenza, an exceptional luthier and restorer of ancient musical instruments. Rinalda Bonazza for the category Maestro Emergente Artigiano d’Eccellenza, known for her innovative blend of needle lace technique and compact knot style infused with tradition. Fabio Molinas for the category Maestro dell’Innovazione d’Eccellenza, who created a pioneering fabric using waste material from cork.   A special mention was awarded to Francesco Ballestrazzi, recognized with the Creatività Artigianale Award for his exceptional work as a hatmaker.   Congratulations to all nine finalists for their outstanding works of art, which will be featured in an artistic installation by Fabrizio Plessi at the Belvedere of Palazzo Lombardia in Milan, on show until September 22nd.   Discover more: https://lnkd.in/eCbKgVyk #LoroPiana #MetiersdExcellence #LVMH

Our commitment to the advancement of talent through our dedicated career development initiatives continues. Last year, we introduced the "Avenue Programs" as part of our strategic approach to professional growth across the Maison. Launched in September 2023, the "Avenue Retail Acceleration" is an exclusive 18-month program designed for professionals with 5 to 8 years of work experience. Throughout three six-month rotations, participants gain an in-depth perspective on retail while contributing to strategic projects. This year's edition comprises eight exceptional talents from across the globe, currently engaged in their second rotation.
