The company's MGTES solution is an Electro Thermal Energy Storage system designed to support the decarbonization of industrial processes and power systems to advance sustainable development. The purpose of the visit was to introduce them to the dry #IBA technology and demonstrate what advanced dry IBA treatment can look like. Johan Böni and Matteo Maiello provided in-depth insights into how Taiwan could integrate this technology into their #Waste-to-Energy industry. They also discussed how #Magaldi can design and adapt its #MADAM system specifically for the Taiwanese market to support their #environmental goals, contributing to a greener and more #sustainable future for Taiwan. The MADAM - Magaldi Dry Ashes Management system - enhances the economic and ecological advantages of managing and treating Incinerator Bottom Ash #IBA by eliminating the need for water in the extraction and cooling processes. Instead, it employs a completely dry approach, promoting #WtE decarbonization. MADAM integrates dry extraction, using the Magaldi Ecobelt® WA system, with ash treatment, resulting in a more sustainable and cost-effective method. This system significantly reduces landfilling costs and improves the recovery of high-quality metals from IBA, favoring circular economy. The dry process, indeed, prevents fines from agglomerating on metals, allowing better separation and recovery of over 90% of the metals.
