  • 🧡 Upcoming exhibition at Collezione Maramotti part of the twentieth Fotografia Europea festival Viviane Sassen | This Body Made of Stardust 27 April - 27 July 2025 Comprising more than fifty photographs and a video, all dating from 2005 to 2025 — with several new works made specifically for the occasion — "This Body Made of Stardust" is the most extensive presentation of Sassen’s work in Italy to date and is curated by the artist herself. The show revolves around the concept and iconography of the memento mori: (abstractions of) human bodies, landscapes, dust, earth and organic matter become symbols and recurring reminders of death—an inevitable passage in the transformation of all that lives. Through a non-narrative structure built from visual fragments and formal links between images that seem very different, Sassen invites us into a many-sided, dreamlike, seductive universe distilled drop by drop from everyday life and instilled with Surrealism, flowing out of the artist’s interaction (her fantasies, obsessions, memories and fears) with the outside world. Forming a dialogue with sculptures from Collezione Maramotti to which Sassen felt an immediate affinity, the photographs in the show are drawn from different series of works in her vast archive, which the artist has been reworking into different configurations for years now, in a sort of long-term investigative project.   More information here: https://lnkd.in/d3tNb8k2

For Fall-Winter 2025, Sportmax begins an introspection of past legacies, current realities and its future intentions. Since the first collection presented in 1969, Sportmax has remained a cognisant response to its changing environment. It emerged during a pivotal moment in our collective history, a period that sparked a new way of living, of loving and of dressing — rejecting the established old guard for a new era of modernity that advocated freedom over all. Immersed in the vibrancy of the period, Sportmax became a catalyst of the ready-to-wear revolution by reinventing the women’s wardrobe with an unprecedented vision, highly evolved for everyday living. Mirroring their legacy of experimentation, FW25 is about hyper-reinvention — where the ordinary becomes extraordinary. It looks to the emphatic women in its ecosystem: the artisans, designers, colleagues, mothers and friends who infuse Sportmax’s intellectual design language with realistic intention. Archetypes of the contemporary wardrobe become utilities for life, founded on simple ideas made with complex techniques that define a new iconoclastic luxury. The collection’s dualities are expressed through specialised fabrics and techniques, beginning with a revival of Sportmax’s signature doublé wool that infuses essential garments with soft sensuality. Its sculptural figures are draped in double layers, or twisted in a denim trompe l’oeil made with unique weaving techniques that create the serged illusion. Echoed in a reintroduction from the house’s iconic repertoire, raw denim is tailored and cut-up into unexpected yet familiar shapes. Enveloping faux-fur coats evoke another illusion of crocodile made in short-haired jacquard and wisps of feather-like plumage that airily flow in motion. Experimental leather pieces are juxtaposed with ultra-soft bonded fleece for added warmth or stamped in sumptuous textured python; while a fully-fashioned knit suit is engineered as a dynamic alternative to classic suiting. An exhibition of the atelier’s innovative savoir-faire, shapes and silhouettes are drawn in unbroken lines that expand and contract as if cast from a single roll of fabric. Using the body as a foundation, their soft architecture unfolds intuitively around it in limitless circularity. Essential tailored blazers and trousers are fundamental yet transformative, subverting norms for comfortable renditions of oversized and feminine cuts. In between the lines, various applications of fringe add texture and dimension to coats, dresses and scarves, either laser-cut or created with a rare method that slashes into the pattern itself.   Discover the backstage content on the official TikTok channel. #SportmaxFW25 https://lnkd.in/dHBB_5Bb

AND PIETRO TERZINI Over 50 influencers, journalists, and friends of the brand gathered at Spazio San Babila for the launch of the HERE WE GO AGAIN capsule! On February 25th, during Milan Fashion Week, Spazio San Babila hosted an exclusive event to celebrate the launch of HERE WE GO AGAIN, the new capsule collection by MAX&Co. in collaboration with Pietro Terzini. It was a special evening that brought together over 50 influencers, journalists, and many friends of the brand, all excited for this second &Co.llaboration with the Milanese artist. HERE WE GO AGAIN draws inspiration from hip hop and early 2000s streetwear, reinterpreting iconic pieces such as bomber jackets, flannel shirts, and denim in a contemporary way. Terzini’s ironic and bold statements—"I WAS RIGHT", "HEARTBREAKER", and "I HOPE YOUR EMAIL WON'T FIND ME"—take center stage, applied to genderless garments with a sartorial design. The capsule is completed with unique accessories, including hats, socks, and an umbrella featuring the phrase "I PREFER SUNNY DAYS". An event that paid tribute to the creativity and distinctive energy of MAX&Co., once again strengthening the bond between the brand and its community.
