Chi siamo
Mogu is an innovation-driven design company changing the way things are traditionally made. We do this by partnering with our surrounding life-systems. Lead by the principles of Circular Economy and by the certainty that Nature’s intelligence can help us to radically disrupt the design of everyday products, mogu develops mycelium technologies and commercialises innovative products and groundbreaking solutions for everyday use in interiors and architecture. Rooted in growth and cultivation and guided by a strong product-driven approach, mogu products are the result of continuous and iterative R&D on mycelium technology, allowing to deliver responsible and renewable solutions, without compromising performance. Mogu is part of the SQIM technology holding which has the aim of further widening along time the multiple opportunities emerging from R&D activities, and therefore expanding on the true potential of mycelium-based technologies in concretely impacting additional fields and markets, thereby creating a real positive impact in people’s life. Mogu offers today the first commercial mycelium-based products on the market, suitable for interior design applications.

🎉 Celebrating the conclusion of the MY-FI project at the second ECOSYSTEX Conference! Today marked a significant milestone as the MY-FI project held its final conference, where we highlighted exciting opportunities to enhance supply chain sustainability through the adoption of biobased materials. In the morning, Annalisa Moro from MOGU had the opportunity to share and disseminate valuable insights from the project with all participants of the ECOSYSTEX conference. This was a fantastic moment to reflect on the progress made by the MY-FI project in developing an innovative mycelium-based material, paving the way for more sustainable solutions in the luxury fashion and automotive industries. During a thought-provoking panel discussion moderated by Amy Congdon, PhD from Biofabricate, we were joined by Annalisa Moro, María García Torreiro, Silvia Gava (MOGU), Paola Bologna, Claudia Ricciardi (Bird & Bird), Tiziano Guardini (Guardini), Vito Colacurcio (Giorgio Armani), and Federico Brugnoli (Spin360). Together, we explored the latest in regulations, ecodesign, and biobased solutions shaping the future of fashion. 👗🌍 Huge thanks to ECOSYSTEX and Textile ETP for fostering collaboration and driving innovation throughout this incredible journey! #Sustainability #BiobasedMaterials #FashionInnovation #MYFI #ECOSYSTEX

We really love good news! Thank you to European Circular Bioeconomy Fund (ECBF) for talking about SQIM and specifically about Mogu and its sustainable products for the construction, interior design, and architecture industries. 🍄 🌿
Did you know that fungi, particularly mycelium, are emerging as revolutionary building materials? 🏗️ Mycelium is not only biodegradable, but also lightweight, strong, and provides excellent insulation. This incredible organism can be shaped into various forms, making it an adaptable solution for modern construction challenges. 🍄 With the construction industry facing pressure to reduce carbon footprints, mycelium-based materials represent a sustainable alternative. They can significantly decrease reliance on conventional, resource-intensive materials, offering a cost-effective and energy-efficient solution that is also compostable at the end of its lifecycle. 🌍 We are excited to highlight our portfolio company, SQIM, which specializes in harnessing mycelium for innovative applications. Their research and development focus on creating sustainable building solutions that not only minimize environmental impact but also enhance the performance of structures. By integrating mycelium into their products, SQIM is helping to pave the way for a greener future in construction. 🌿 Nature truly holds the key to sustainable innovation, and we’re proud to support SQIM in this important work! #sustainability #innovation #greenbuilding #circulareconomy

Thank you Parley for the Oceans for the feature! We're honoured to be part of the material revolution, collaborating with nature to shape a more sustainable future. Learn more about one of our founders, Maurizio Montalti, our journey and how biology inspires innovative materials like ephea™️ and MOGU, in the latest Parley for the Oceans interview: https://lnkd.in/g6Rnu54p #fungi #mycelium #biotechnology #innovation #growingmaterials #fermentation #biofabrication #SQIM #ephea #epheamycelium #mogu #mogumycelium #MyceliumUnbound #MaterialRevolution #SustainableInnovation
Caring enough to slow down and pay attention to the unseen is one of the grandest forms of love. To be observant of the world’s curiosities is one thing, but to learn from them is to open an invitation of infinite possibility - one that lends hope towards a better future. It’s time to take notes from the natural world’s most talented creatives - watching and borrowing from the mysteries that these scientists and designers are constantly weaving, hiding in plain sight. 🫣 Some people in our world are actively listening. One of them is Marizio Montalti, cofounder of SQIM, a company collaborating with nature to design a fungal future. SQIM has two key strands of its business – MOGU, which creates acoustic panels and flooring made entirely of fungal mycelium and #ephea, a leather-like material that can be used in fashion and has already been adapted by Balenciaga for a coat in its AW22 collection.🍄 Learn more about how biology can help redesign the world in Parley for the Oceans latest Material Revolution interview. https://lnkd.in/gPgkTRaH V: @yeweijun98 & @laurent_nam

Exploring the Potential of Mycelium
Our team is currently at Domaine de Boisbuchet with Aléa Studio for the summer workshop "Myco-fabrication." In these first days, participants have been constructing their own movable labs. Soon, they will be installing MOGU's mycelium panels and investigating mycelium as a bio-based binding material. Stay tuned for more updates! #mycelium #mycofabrication #boisbuchet #biobasedmaterials

Myco-Fabrication began yesterday, a workshop designed to inspire creativity, promote transdisciplinary collaboration, and foster a greater appreciation for the complex web of relationships in nature. Mogu, which typically implements a virtuous end-of-life scheme to regenerate products without generating waste, has found a new way to reuse its materials. Perfectly adhering to the philosophy of the circular economy, Mogu has provided second-life materials for the workshop.
