Hana-arashi, the Petals’ Dance by Nendo for Paola Lenti, is showcased at #Tokyo Designart Festival. In celebration of this event, which transforms the city into an art and #design #museum from October 18th to 27th, Paola Lenti is hosting the #exhibition Hana-arashi at its flagship store located at 3-5-5 Azabudai, Minato-Ku and opened in partnership with Atlantic Cars Ltd., the brand’s exclusive distributor in #Japan. This #exhibition is dedicated to presenting the eponymous #collection designed by Nendo. Hana-arashi is more than just a family of products – including lamps, poufs, #armchairs, side tables, and baskets – it also marks the second chapter of Mottainai, a #project by Paola Lenti aimed at restoring the function and aesthetic value of #production leftovers. The name Hana-arashi describes the dance of Sakura petals in the wind, representing a second #beauty that is #poetic, unpredictable, and ephemeral, contrasting with the full bloom.   “I was pleasantly surprised to encounter the term Mottainai within an Italian company. It immediately felt familiar, akin to home. Through this project, I believe Paola and I achieved a harmonious balance between spirituality, materiality, and #sustainability, as we, in a way, speak the same language. It was akin to composing a haiku,” explains Oki Sato, founder of Nendo studio.   Currently, Hana-arashi is exhibited in its cultural cradle of origin, featuring a setting that replicates the delicate movement of petals twirling in the sky. Visitors will walk through a captivating aerial #installation made of floating offcuts from the same material used by Nendo to craft the furnishings. The exhibition, inaugurated by Anna Lenti, CEO of Paola Lenti, Takayuki Nozawa, CEO of Atlantic Cars, and Oki Sato, founder of Nendo, will be open to the public until November 16th. "Sogni fucsia" is the second episode of "Oasi di Colore," Paola Lenti’s new series of short #videos that explore the #emotions and associations evoked by each #colour through a play of #aesthetic and chromatic analogies. For us, fuchsia embodies energy, rhythm, and movement. Melodic phrases intertwine with #graphic motifs, creating a dynamic #harmony of notes and vibrant fuchsia brushstrokes. Enamels, fusions, essences—table tops and upholstery reflect materials given the freedom to express their #natural character. Domestic #landscapes turn into realms of endless discovery, evolving into night #metropolises illuminated as if by daylight.
