  • January has been an exciting month for Piccolo, filled with key events that reinforced our presence in the world of nature, design and sustainability. From London to Paris and Bergamo, we had the opportunity to showcase our products, connect with partners, and celebrate meaningful achievements. We kicked off January with 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻, where we had the incredible honor of winning the 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗹𝗽𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗲𝘁. This recognition reaffirms our commitment to blending design and sustainability in a meaningful way, making seeds not just a gardening essential but a thoughtful, customizable gift. At 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻&𝗢𝗯𝗷𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀, we reaffirmed our presence in the European market, reconnecting with long-time buyers, distributors, and partner companies. Strengthening these valuable relationships has been a key moment for us as we continue to grow and collaborate across borders. We are now closing this period on a romantic note at 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗼, where our personalized seed packets are taking center stage in the world of weddings and special events. With one more day to go, we continue to celebrate how seeds can become a lasting and meaningful gift for couples and guests alike. As we move into mid-February and the Spring season encourages us to get all the seeds sown, we look forward to carrying this momentum into the coming months, bringing more innovation and creativity to the world of seeds!

🌟 What better way to debut a new product line than winning a silver medal at ADCI design awards 2024 for it? 🌟   Today, Piccolo is thrilled to introduce its latest product series: the Botanical Alphabet. This innovative collection reimagines the alphabet through the lens of nature, with each letter represented by a plant, illustrated through beautifully designed typography printed on the seed packets.   A special thank you to the talented team at The6th for bringing this vision to life, to Mauro Turatti for the stunning photography, and to ADCI - Art Directors Club Italiano for awarding us Silver in the 2024 Design category.   The Botanical Alphabet is more than just a seed collection—it’s a gardening and typography project that marries the natural world with graphic design. For each plant, carefully selected from the most beautiful flora around the globe, a typeface in an iconic typographic style has been matched, creating a harmony of botanical and typographic aesthetics. This thoughtful design enriches the gardening experience by bringing a visual language that speaks to both the soul and the mind, while promoting a greener world.   With the Botanical Alphabet, customers can create a personalized and green gift by choosing from 26 seed packets, each representing a letter, to spell out names, words, or special messages. Perfect for any occasion, these eco-friendly sachets offer a unique way to combine gardening with a meaningful, thoughtful present.   Sustainability is at the core of the Botanical Alphabet project. The seed sachets are crafted from innovative paper produced using fibers from tomato processing waste, ensuring that no part of the plant goes to waste. These sachets are fully biodegradable and can be recycled with organic waste, making them as eco-friendly as the seeds they contain. #WordsAreSeeds   Additionally, the Leporello, a unique collector that holds multiple sachets to form a word or message, is another bundling option that adds even more value to the product. Made from paper derived from corn processing waste, the Leporello is completely customizable and offers an original, creative, and eco-friendly way to share meaningful messages with friends or colleagues.   Here’s to many more milestones ahead!

* EN / Last year, Piccolo Seeds began a collaboration with the Treviso Comic Book Festival , which in 2023 resulted in the creation of three exclusive illustrations by artists Elena Antonutti, Laura Menis, and Simone Faggian, all part of the TCBF network.   From these illustrations, the Veranda Project was born—a new series of products that will be unveiled at the Treviso Comic Book Festival 2024 (September 28-29). Each illustrated package, inspired by Japanese origami, will contain seeds that are technically past their expiry date but still perfectly viable for planting. Offering expired seeds may seem provocative, but it highlights the intrinsic value of seeds. In a future marked by resource scarcity, seeds will be priceless. That’s why we’ve chosen to share them rather than let them go to waste. #WasteNoSeeds.   The Veranda Project represents a space of creative freedom where art and nature meet. Like a veranda that changes with the seasons, each edition will adapt to the occasion, offering a unique selection of seeds in artistic packaging that reflects the spirit of the event.   Piccolo Seeds will be present with a stand throughout both days of the festival, where visitors can discover the new products and explore the deeper meaning behind this initiative.   A special thanks to the Treviso Comic Book Festival and the artists who made this collaboration possible.

  • We're excited to announce that the next Treviso Comic Book Festival is on the horizon! While we can't reveal just yet what our new collaboration with TCBF will be about, we wanted to take a moment to reminisce about last year's successful partnership. In an effort to make the festival more sustainable, TCBF came up with the innovative idea of printing the festival program on simple seed paper leaflets. Visitors could scan a QR code on the card to access the full schedule of events. Piccolo Seeds proudly provided the seed paper for these unique program. The initiative was a huge success, and everyone remembers the TCBF 2023 program fondly. We hope that after the festival, some of these leaflets were planted and have since bloomed! Stay tuned for updates on our new collaboration. Best of luck to our friends at TCBF, and happy planning for the festival!

  • We’re thrilled to share that Piccolo Seeds partnered with Fabrica for the Fabrica30 Reunion Festival on July 5-6. As part of this exciting collaboration, we donated seeds to help create a Community Garden adjacent to the workshop of the ‘fabricanti’. During the event, attendees had the chance to make and throw seedballs into a specially prepared meadow, paving the way for a brand-new flowering lawn. It was a joy to see everyone come together and contribute to this blossoming community space. The Fabrica building, designed by the architect Tadao Ando, provides a stunning backdrop for this garden. We’re incredibly proud to have a piece of Piccolo Seeds integrated into such a beautiful and inspiring location. This partnership not only highlights our commitment to fostering green spaces but also celebrates the spirit of community and creativity. We look forward to seeing the Community Garden flourish and grow within the heart of Fabrica.

  • This year, Piccolo Seeds had the pleasure of partnering with the Royal Horticultural Society for the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show 2024. Our collaboration was an incredible opportunity to share our passion for gardening with thousands of enthusiasts and professionals. As part of our involvement, we proudly donated a selection of our finest seeds to be awarded during the ceremony. Additionally, we gifted around 2000 packets of seeds for the Little Chelsea Gala Bag, allowing attendees to take home a piece of the magic. Each participant at the show enjoyed a complimentary packet of Piccolo seeds, and we were thrilled to see our name featured prominently in the event’s printed materials. This partnership not only allowed us to reach a wider audience but also strengthened our bond with both seasoned gardeners and newcomers in the UK market. We’re immensely grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with the Royal Horticultural Society and look forward to hopefully being a part of this extraordinary event again next year. Our seeds are more than just products; they are a testament to our commitment to fostering a love for gardening in every corner of the world.
