With over 12,000 attendees, 176 publishing houses, and more than 200 events featuring over 300 Italian and international guests across Leopolda and other involved Florentine institutions, TESTO confirms itself as an unmissable appointment for readers and protagonists of the book world. For publishing houses, it is the ideal place to present early-year releases. It is a collective experience to STAY together to read, listen, talk, and discover how a book is made. On the front of TESTO 2025 contests: Gloria Riggio won the Florence round of Poetry Slam, while the A Segno! contest awards went to Re-Materialization of Language. 1978-2022 (Nero Editions) for the most beautifully illustrated book and to Autoritratti (Quodlibet, 2024) for the most beautifully designed textbook. The fourth edition of TESTO [Come si diventa un libro], from February 28 to March 2, 2025, the event dedicated to contemporary publishing organized by Pitti Immagine in collaboration with Stazione Leopolda, based on an idea by Todo Modo, concluded amidst enthusiasm and satisfaction from participants: publishers, readers, Italian and international authors, book clubs, booksellers, press, and many professions related to the book world. This edition opened with a sold-out event at the Fondazione Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, where Alessandro Barbero was in dialogue with Caterina Soffici about his novel, and it recorded growing public participation: over 12,000 people entered Leopolda to discover the novelties and selected proposals from the 176 participating publishing houses – 44 of which were attending for the first time; more than 300 authors and guest protagonists, over 200 presentations, workshops, guided tours, literary walks, and special events between Leopolda and many Florentine cultural institutions, which hosted a very crowded schedule of appointments. TESTO has confirmed itself as a rich space not only for reading and listening but also for doing. The new feature of Testofficina was highly appreciated, a program of seminars and workshops led by protagonists of the Italian and international publishing world. In this edition, Testofficina focused on graphics (visual identity, graphic design, type design, illustration), radical publishing, and comedic writing, involving names like Maximage studio, Luciano Perondi, Sebastian Bugden (Verso Books), Saverio Raimondo, and Lorenzo Mattotti. This edition of TESTO served as an opportunity to build a bridge between past and present, bringing together great classics—also ancient ones, with contributions from Piero Boitani—and protagonists of the current international literary scene. These authors presented their latest works to the Italian public at TESTO, including László Krasznahorkai, Tracy Chevalier, Paul Murray, and Max Porter.

DANZAINFIERA GROWS ALMOST 20,000 ATTENDEES. OVER 10% MORE THAN IN 2024. AN INCREASINGLY INTERNATIONAL EVENT. With 20,000 total attendees, more than 100 accredited journalists, 760 instructors involved, and over 10,670 dancers performing on stage and in classrooms at the Fortezza, all drawn by this year’s slogan, Dance Beyond, the event has positioned itself as a true showcase of opportunities. Danzainfiera 2025 concluded on Sunday, February 23, with record-breaking numbers: over the three days, the entire dance world – from professionals to emerging talents – flocked to Fortezza da Basso, the venue of the event organized by Pitti Immagine, and enthusiastically took part in more than 320 events, including lessons, auditions, workshops, competitions, showcases, and talks, presented by 60 schools, institutions, and national and international associations, alongside exhibitors from the Training & Performance area and special initiatives curated by Pitti Immagine. A total of 275 schools participated, accompanying thousands of adolescents with one common goal: to become great dancers. More than 4,000 scholarships were awarded to them. At the same time, Danzainfiera strengthened its role as a key reference for industry professionals and businesses: over 500 buyers (55% from abroad) from all around the world attended, marking a 16% increase from 2024. They discovered the new collections from 80 exhibiting companies, including leading international names and emerging brands in the production of technical dancewear, accessories, and innovative equipment. Another great achievement was "Calimala", the contemporary dance project created through the collaboration between Fondazione Pitti Discovery, Nutida Festival (Stazione Utopia), and Musicus Concentus. The selected "dance authors” – Beatrice Ranieri, Vittorio Porcelli, Sara Ariotti, Kyda Pozza, Marta Andreitsiv, and Rita Carrara – successfully performed at Padiglione Cavaniglia, showcasing their original choreographies set to music composed by Studio Batsumi (London). Many outstanding talents came to Danzainfiera this year, making it difficult to pinpoint the highlights of the event. The activities of the Accademia Teatro alla Scala, the Aula Moma Studios, and all the auditions were highly followed, with particular emphasis on those for the theatrical productions of Teatro Sistina, directed by Massimo Romeo Piparo, featuring Rossella Brescia and British choreographer Billy Mitchell. The latter achieved great success with his actor-dancers from the musical Matilda during a fan meet-and-greet at the UniCredit Talk Arena. The Expression Gala 20th Anniversary, held in the Sala delle Nazioni in the presence of the dancers from IDA Dance Lab, also drew great participation. The event provided a stage for dance schools and performers who have taken part in the competition over many past editions.

Resounding success among trade professionals and enthusiastic response from exhibitors The 18th edition of Pitti Immagine’s premier event dedicated to Italian gastronomic excellence exceeded all expectations: 8,500 Italian and international buyers (+19% compared to 2024) engaged in business relationships, strengthened partnerships, and explored new opportunities with 770 top-tier producers. Over three days, the event welcomed more than 12,300 visitors in total. Strong appreciation for the presence of Ministero dell'Agricoltura, della Sovranità alimentare e delle Foreste Francesco Lollobrigida The 18th edition of Taste lived up to expectations. With 770 exhibitors and 8,483 buyers (including 892 international buyers, a 23.5% increase compared to last February), Pitti Immagine’s event has once again set a new attendance record and reinforced its leadership among trade fairs dedicated to Italy’s small businesses – whether family-run, artisanal, or industrial – representing the very best of the country's agri-food sector and its rich regional specialties. As for buyer attendance – including specialty retailers, distributors, importers, department stores, HoReCa professionals, restaurateurs, chefs, and raw material experts – it’s worth noting that the 19% increase compared to the 2024 edition mirrors the growth recorded last year versus 2023. International buyer participation saw an impressive 24% jump, with 900 attendees from over 60 countries. Leading the list were France, Germany, the United States, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Spain, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Turkey. There was also representation from Eastern Europe and key overseas markets, including Australia, Japan, Canada, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Brazil, and New Zealand. In total, considering exhibitors, agents, representatives, suppliers, more than 600 journalists and media professionals, and the public of gourmet enthusiasts, Taste 2025 welcomed over 12,300 visitors.

Creative, Captivating, Magical: FIRE is the theme for the 2025 winter shows by PITTI IMMAGINE This January, Pitti Immagine's winter shows embrace fire as a unifying element to capture the essence and spirit of the upcoming season. FIRE is the theme behind the new ad campaigns for Pitti Uomo, Pitti Bimbo, and Pitti Filati, each uniquely tailored to reflect the character of each event under the creative direction of Angelo Figus , with graphic editing by Alessandro Gori FIRE will also inspire the design setup at the Fortezza da Basso, curated by alessandro moradei. "It's a recognition of the generative power of this primal element," says Agostino Poletto, General Director of Pitti Immagine. "Fire brings people together, warming both body and soul, drawing attention and pointing the way. It serves to entertain, amaze, inspire, melt old ideas and habits, and forge new ones—just like fashion does. We'll spark excitement, ignite desires, and focus on challenges and solutions, just as Pitti Uomo always does." AGOSTINO POLETTO, General Director of Pitti Immagine Our vision of fire Uniting, dividing – the origin of everything. Epic, mythical, sacred, ritualistic; both ally and menace, magnetic, and entrancing – fire exerts a powerful pull and push. It is creative and destructive, renewing, unsettling, and ever-present across cultures, ancient and modern, in the ordinary and the extraordinary, in the practical and the symbolic. Fire exists as a multitude of flames: creative, passionate, fleeting. Fire as embers waiting, surprising, deceiving, renewing itself without extinguishing. Fire is a life force that destroys to rebuild, a symbol that brings things to an end only to reignite them. Infernal yet magical, dramatic and dreamlike, spectacular and intimate, it holds the limitless potential to transform. Fire is both friend and foe, valuable in the very act of burning, sustained by a breath like that of the Fire-Eater. The "I'm on FIRE" campaign for Pitti Uomo was captured by photographer Andrea Ariano. Four striking male portraits glow, presenting an emotional, warm, and sensual image that, in the mini-clip accompanying the campaign, takes on a slight movement, like a flickering flame. Finally, the design setup at the Fortezza da Basso promises to captivate. A digital bonfire will ignite in the central square, with flames depicted through video and lettering in a mesmerizing visual display. Meanwhile, the Lyceum will transform into the realm of Fire-Eater, blending fairy tales and reality, to engage and delight visitors. UniCredit continues as our main partner and our fairs are supported by Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale and ITA - Italian Trade Agency.

Pitti Immagine launches a partnership with Japan Fashion Week Organization to reinforce promotional activities related to Pitti Uomo towards the Japanese media and the fashion system, to develop special projects focusing on menswear and lifestyle “The Japanese fashion system, as a whole, - says Raffaello Napoleone, Pitti Immagine Chief Executive Officer - plays a central role for Italian fashion and therefore for the Pitti Immagine trade fair activities in the clothing and textile sector. And we know how useful the Pitti fairs and events are also for the global promotion of the best Japanese fashion proposals. We believe that - especially now, when the long wave of economic and political shocks of the last five years is being felt most strongly on international trade - our commitment to Japan must grow in quantity and quality, especially through coordinated and unified action in the direction that addresses manufacturing companies, specialized shops and department stores, young designers and emerging brands.” “With the aim of starting an integrated promotional policy towards the different players and most influential communities of Japanese fashion, the choice to collaborate with Japan Fashion Week was natural, given the role of essential reference that it has towards the entire fashion system of its country. Moreover, Pitti Uomo and JFW have a long history of successful joint projects, the result of a beautiful harmony of intent and methods of execution. On the occasion of the upcoming Pitti press tour in Asia, we are happy to start a new and promising joint work”. Comment from Hiroshi Komoda, the Japan Fashion Week Organization Secretary-General, about the new partnership: “We are very honored to build this partnership with Pitti Immagine, which has a history of more than 50 years and not only deals with garments but materials like us. Pitti Immagine Uomo has been the efficient first step into the European market for many Japanese brands. From 2012, through many collaborations with Pitti Immagine, we have introduced more than 50 brands and projects within th Pitti Uomo platform. Just to mention a few, VERSUS TOKYO, sulvam, BED j.w. FORD, yoshiokubo, TOKYO FASHION AWARD, TOKYO KNIT, and J∞QUALITY. We hope to empower both the Italian and the Japanese fashion industry with our partnership by taking care of the journalists that covers the event and furthermore, we hope to expand the event with buyers, exhibitors and events.”
