Chi siamo

Recordati has been at the forefront of life-enhancing and life-changing medicines for almost 100 years. With its beginnings in a family run pharmacy in Correggio, Italy in the 1920s, Recordati is now a global pharmaceutical force, listed on the Italian stock exchange, with over 4,300 employees. We are a group of like-minded, passionate individuals who go to extraordinary lengths for our partners, customers, investors and the people across the globe who we serve. We’ve always believed that health, and the opportunity to live life to the fullest, is a right, not a privilege. Whether that is for common diseases or the rarest – we want to give people the opportunity to be the best version of themselves. This drive will never stop. Shout out to our Italian teams who were recognised at the 2024 Awards for Scientific Information and Patient Centricity! Eccellenze dell'Informazione Scientifica Recordati was one of the top Pharma companies winning first prize in three different categories: RD Italy in the Rare Diseases category, SPC Italy for Traditional Scientific Information and for Chronic Diseases. The award selection process involved a survey of 161,000 doctors to create a shortlist, which was then evaluated by a distinguished board of clinicians, patient association members and scientific societies.   #UnlockingTheFullPotentialOfLife #Recordati

This month, our UK team set off on the Brecon Beacons Four Falls walk in support of the Pituitary Foundation. Covering around 20km, their journey took them through the spectacular woodland scenery of this area, also known as ‘Waterfall Country’. An amazing moment for our team to come together to raise funds for people living with pituitary conditions. The pituitary gland is a small gland at the base of the brain that regulates various hormones. Pituitary conditions disrupt the gland’s functioning, causing excess or insufficient hormone production. This can go on to impact growth, metabolism, and reproductive functions. Together, we’re making strides – both on the trail and for our patient communities. #RecordatiPeople #UnlockingTheFullPotentialOfLife #Fundraising

Our team at Recordati Rare Diseases España has partnered with the non-profit Fundación Juegaterapia (Playtherapy Foundation) to support children receiving treatment for neuroblastoma by introducing the PlayCars project. The project was launched in collaboration with Recordati’s medical team, backed by evidence that video games can significantly reduce discomfort during treatment. The PlayCar station provides access to videogames in the hospital, letting children play while receiving care. So far, five PlayCars are available in hospitals throughout Spain, with plans to expand. The Foundation’s mission is to make the hospital a friendlier place by setting up playrooms or decorating children’s cancer wards. We’re proud of our team for collaborating with Fundación Juegaterapia on this innovative project to help young patients pass the time during their hospital visits.

One year ago, we launched our refreshed purpose: Unlocking the full potential of life. This purpose, co-created with our colleagues, inspires us daily. It drives our commitment to help people be the best version of themselves, whether that is through our work for patients with rare or common diseases or by volunteering in our communities. This drive will never stop. Around 80 of our Culture Ambassadors have worked tirelessly to help our purpose flourish, transforming it from words on paper to a guiding principle throughout Recordati. As we celebrate this milestone, we look forward to continuing to live our purpose and help people live life to the fullest. #Culture #CultureAmbassadors #UnlockingTheFullPotentialOfLife

On World Environment Day we’re delighted to announce that we’re expanding the use of solar power in our plants – continuing our commitment to installing new renewable energy production systems in our manufacturing sites. Following our teams in Spain and Ireland, the Recordati plant in Türkiye is following suit and is now authorised to use its newly completed solar panel system. These solar panels have a maximum power output of around 480 kWp, covering part of the plant's needs. Any further electricity needed for the plant will continue to be purchased from grid, ensuring that it comes from renewable sources. A great example of our sustainability approach through responsible action, protecting our most important assets: people and planet. #WorldEnvironmentDay #Sustainability #PeopleandPlanet
