"𝐍𝐎𝐍 𝐔𝐂𝐂𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐄" 𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 by Emilio Isgrò & Mario Botta, produced by Riva1920 The MAXXI Museo nazionale delle arti del XXI secolo in L'Aquila commemorates the 75th anniversary of the Italian Constitution with a special installation commissioned from renowned artist Emilio Isgrò and architect Mario Botta, crafted in fragrant Lebanese cedar by Riva1920. This impressive circular wooden pavilion, located in the square in front of the museum’s entrance, houses a powerful artwork by Isgrò. The installation reflects on the Italian Constitution by evoking one of the earliest legal codes that laid the foundation for civil society: the biblical Ten Commandments. True to his signature style, Isgrò employs the artistic gesture of erasure, leaving visible only the Seventh Commandment: 𝘛𝘩𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭, in Italian “𝘕𝘰𝘯 𝘜𝘤𝘤𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘦” The work features eleven pairs of stone tablets from Mount Sinai, shaped in accordance with classical iconography and inscribed in 11 different languages, emphasizing the universality of the message. #Riva1920 #MAXXI #MarioBotta #EmilioIsgrò Photo Credits: Luca Eleuteri

On September 4th, the Salone del Mobile.Milano inaugurated the installation "𝙄𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝘿𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣: 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙘 𝙩𝙤 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙧𝙮," a special exhibition dedicated to Italian design and furniture, joining Bloomingdale's "𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙄𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙮, 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚" project. The installation is curated by renowned architect Ferruccio Laviani and celebrates Italian culture, luxury, and art. The exhibition will run until September 29th. The scenographic display is a careful balance between art installation and pop-up experience celebrating icons of Italian design that tell a story of ingenuity, excellent industrial production and the finest craftsmanship. With a curator’s eye, Laviani has selected objects as the most representative pieces from the catalogs of brands that best expressing the value and appeal of Italian furniture and design, including Riva1920. We are proud to participate in this project with our iconic MOLLETTA bench, designed by Baldessari e Baldessari architetti e designers, in its 140cm version, crafted from scented Lebanon cedarwood.
