Our team has successfully completed the refurbishment of an old 12-metre antenna model TNA-57. The results are excellent as can be seen from the radiation diagrams. The C(N) compared to the original configuration has increased by 2.5 dB. The new feed will allow reception in the extended 3.4 - 4.2 GHz C-band in both linear and circular polarisation. This is the latest Sicilsat success story to date, consolidating our strong presence throughout Europe. Sicilsat in collaboration with the Engineering Department of Università di Catania (DIEEI), has just completed the prototype of a C-band tunable filter for #TROPOSCAT applications. Really excellent results. The next step is to make it motorized. Over the past few months, we embarked on a challenging journey - the refurbishment of our satellite ground station's antennas. The antennas, which are a vital component of our satellite communication infrastructure, play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless communication with our satellites in orbit. We’re immensely proud of our team's dedication, hard work, and the results achieved. This project was nothing short of an intricate puzzle. The antennas had been in service for years, enduring the elements and the relentless passage of time. Their refurbishment was a demanding task that required precision, expertise, and unwavering commitment. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the individuals who made this project a reality. Our team members worked tirelessly, showing extraordinary dedication. Their collaborative spirit, technical prowess, and unyielding determination propelled us towards the project's completion. Our project was not merely an internal endeavor. We had the privilege of partnering with Sicilsat[T1]  Communications, renowned for its excellence in microwave technologies. This collaboration enabled us to combine our industry knowledge with their specialized skills, ultimately leading to a successful project outcome. We'd also like to express our deep appreciation to our partners from Sicilsat[T2]  Communications. Their expertise and professionalism were invaluable throughout the project. Our refurbished antennas are a crucial asset that will continue to support our satellite communication initiatives and drive our organization forward. As of now, the refurbished antennas are capable of communicating in S-Band (receive & transmit) and X-Band (receive only). Additionally, in an ongoing internal project, we are diligently refurbishing our UHF antennas and preparing them for enhanced performance and longevity to support satellite communication operations for the next planned satellite launches. As we celebrate this achievement, let it serve as a reminder of the great potential we hold within our team and the value that strong partnerships can bring.
