🚀 Meet the Team who will be present at Analog Frontiers conference: ✨[R]overTech The Rover Team of PoliSpace from Politecnico di Milano dedicated to competing in the ERC. It comprises four departments: 1. Structures: Designs innovative rover structures. 2. Software: Develops autonomy for the rover. 3. Electronics & EPS: Manages internal components. 4. Science: Conducts analysis and collects samples for geological study. ✨ DIANA Since 2008, DIANA at Politecnico di Torino has been developing space rovers for future human missions on other planets. The team is a talent incubator where students gain advanced robotics knowledge and professional skills through managing complex projects. This is made possible through collaborations with companies in Piedmont, Italy, and internationally. DIANA is active in numerous research fields and has many publications. ✨ SASA: Sapienza Technology Team The Team made up of engineering students from Sapienza Università di Roma. They collaborated with the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering to design and and test rover prototypes for planetary exploration missions, such as the European Rover Challenge (ERC). These prototypes feature a 6DOF manipulator for collecting samples and rocks on planetary surfaces, and they can perform maintenance tasks manually or autonomously. 🚀 Trilled to announce the spekaers of Analog Frontiers conference: ⚖️ giuseppe acierno: Graduated in Law, he later earned a Master's in Diplomatic Studies and several diplomas abroad. He has held various roles in major Italian companies and institutions, including President of the National Aerospace Technology Cluster and Sole Director of Apuglian Airports. He has also managed several research and development projects and led initiatives like Esa Bic and Digital Innovation Hub. 💡 Alberto Piovesan: Graduated in Industrial Design and Multimedia at the IUAV University of Venice, Alberto Piovesan served as Product Designer at Dainese, where he was responsible for the development of safety equipment in motorbike and multisport collections. Currently working at D-Air Lab as Art Director and designer, he manages strategic projects aimed at safeguarding individuals in both extreme and everyday scenarios. He plays a central role in bringing innovative products to fruition, overseeing the entire process from initial concept to the launch. His work granted him three consecutive selections by ADI Design Index, positioning him as a contender for the prestigious Compasso d’Oro Design Award. 🧬 Micol Bellucci: She graduated in Biological Sciences (Biotechnology) at the Sapienza Università di Roma in 2005. In 2010 she obtained a PhD in Environmental Engineering at Newcastle University (UK). Since then, she had been working as post-doctoral fellow and researcher on biological processes (nitrification, anaerobic digestion, anammox and microalgae) for the treatment and resource recovery from municipal and industrial wastewaters, ecotoxicology and environmental risk assessment in several international universities and research institutes (Italian Institute for Environmental Protection and Research, Polytechnic of Milano, University of Foggia, LBE-INRA, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Newcastle University). She collaborates with the Center for Near Space within the Italian Institute for the Future and co-leads the Space Colonization project group within SGAC Space Law and Policy. 🎙️Tommaso Tonina He is the president of Space Pioneers Association that co-organize the event. He served as vice commander on the EMMIHS 23 Kumu lipo mission at HI-SEAS a former NASA center located on the Mauna Loa volcano in Hawaii. Tommaso is co-founder of Frontier Space Technologies, a British startup that designs hardware for space exploration. 🎙️Alessandro Ercolani Space Enthusiast with a background in Software Engineering, spent most of his career at ESA's operations centre in Darmstadt, contributing to the Rosetta mission's Mission Control System. He later led a team providing control systems for ESA Science Missions, and in his last decade, he focused on Space and Science education.
