This International Women’s Day we celebrate the Women of Splendido Mare, A Belmond Hotel as we meet Martina Beraldo, Assistant Food and Beverage Manager. When Martina applied to be part of the team at Splendido Mare last year, she wanted to change her Milanese hectic lifestyle. "Liguria is a region full of wonderful places, food and wine traditions, and excellent products that I fell in love with right from the start.". Today she is responsible for the entire food and beverage department, being involved in many activities, from economic management to staff training and event management. Working for Belmond for her means also being part of a bigger group, that is constantly evolving and expanding, with many new projects to work on that represent opportunities for professional growth. When asked to share an anecdote from her experience at DaV Mare, she tells us this story "One day in December, eight walk-in guests show up asking to have lunch in an hour. We accepted their request and sat them down. What they didn't tell us was that they were only part of a group of no less than 24 people who arrived in a staggered manner over a ten-minute period. After a moment of initial bewilderment, we did our best to seat them all despite the fact that we were almost full as it was a Sunday and served them in the required time. The guests thanked us profusely both for respecting the timetable but also for what they said was one of the best lunches of their lives." #BelmondTalents #CelebrateYourPassion #ActWithHeart #InternationalWomensDay

What's in store for 2025 This year Splendido Mare will continue the rejuvenation of Portofino’s nautical tradition with Regate di Primavera. DaV Mare and its bar area will be renovated and will re-open their doors in March 2025. You’ll dine in a new, fresh and more dynamic atmosphere, surrounded by new fabrics in neutral tones and bright yellow accents.
