Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month is a time to celebrate the many contributions of Hispanic and Latinx cultures to our society. During this month, we connected with our Store Manager at our Canada store, Yamia Soto, who shared her thoughts around this holiday. Yamia shared how this holiday influences them personally and highlighted key events and achievements that have shaped their history and culture. “I celebrate my Latin heritage daily by cooking Cuban traditional meals for my family and friends that were passed down through generations. I try to keep my cultural alive by taking part and celebrating any cultural festival being held nearby. I want to celebrate the Sunglass family because all you have insured that I've never felt unseen, unheard, or unappreciated.”

We teamed up with the OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation and the Community Partnership School in Philadelphia, PA to provide 149 vision screenings and prescription glasses to those in need. This was a first-time partnership with the Community Partnership School, which has 120 students enrolled in grades Pre-K through 5th. Omar Daniel Arroyo has been a motivator at Sunglass Hut since May 2016, leveraging his expertise to climb the ranks. Now, he’s coming in from the field, joining the corporate team in the role of Senior Manager of Retail Strategy, ready to bring even more creativity and insight to our team. “For those in the field considering a transition to corporate, I recommend embracing the wealth of experience you bring to the table. Your firsthand knowledge of customer interactions and store operations is invaluable. A quarter-century in the sun celebrating Rocio Herrera! 25 years ago Rocio stepped into her first role at Sunglass Hut in El Paso. Fast forward to today, she's leaving her mark on every store she supports as Regional Manager for the Texas Border. An outstanding journey marked by incredible achievements, including recognition for top Sun Love protection Plan performance for three consecutive years. Rocio's passion for her work and her team is what keeps her going. Or, as she puts it, "It's my people. I love who I work with, even on some of the tough days, LOL! And with such amazing peers, I am always accepted for who I am and being my crazy self!" We're excited to see what Rocio will achieve next in her remarkable Sunglass Hut journey! #AlwaysInTheSun

We hosted an exclusive Versace pop-up event at several of our Sunglass Hut stores located in New York City, Florida, Texas, and Chicago. Attendees had the opportunity to customize Versace eyewear cases with their names as a complimentary gift with purchase — adding an extra touch of luxury and exclusivity to the shopping experience.
